I used to collect Yu-Gi-Oh cards, but they're just sitting in a binder, collecting dust nowadays.

Same goes for my Pokemon, MtG, and Yu-Gi-Oh cards.

You can never actually expect everyone to duel legitly in IRC duels.

What I did was I used YVD, in which you could upload your deck to duel against people.

Although I didn't actually use my deck, and I instead made my dream deck involving Simochi and Gift Card and everything good like that.

Pokemon had the most retarded card game ever. I don't think anyone ever played that shit, except some retarded kids who just threw cards on the table and yelled ATTACK for the hell of it.

Yu-Gi-Oh! card game was kinda good.

Magic The Gathering was pretty dece.

The only problem with the two latter ones is the fact that a little card made of cardboard could cost up to thousands of dollars, which pretty much ruined the game because to be a really good player, you needed to waste shitload of money in that crap.

I'd LOVE to see a strategy card game were there is a set number of cards (where none of them is overpowered and shit) that all cost the same, and where people can just build decks with different gameplay style and duel each other.

All the kids at my school collected them waaay back when it used to be cool and absolutely everyone had cards...
But no one played. The only thing anyone ever did was trade cards and they were eventually banned from the school after the teachers got sick of kids complaining about other kids cheating them out of pokemon cards.

The Gameboy Colour game was pretty cool though.

Yea, exactly, pokemon, kids just collected that shit, and imo it was a major waste of money.

Yugioh and MtG on the other hand, as long as you didn't buy like those single 100$ cards and shit and didn't waste TOO much money in it, it was kinda worth it. They were honestly great strategy games that got lots of little kids thinking.

There was this shit that happened at the highschool I went too 2-3 year before I got to highschool. A kid stole ALL of another kids pokemon cards (huge box).the kid told his bigger broken and the brother went and stabbed the theif-kid with a knife. Not sure if he died or not.

But yea, pokemon cards were just straight up retarded and useless.

I used to play Yu-Gi-Oh quite a bit, and I'll probably come back to it as I usually do after bi-yearly hiatuses. Dueling over a chatroom is one of the dumbest ideas I've heard of, though, given the fact you can't see the other play field and, well, you could cheat so easily. There are lots of TCG programs out there with Yu-Gi-Oh libraries for online games. In fact Konami's own online Yu-Gi-Oh may be free now. I'm not sure and am too lazy to double check.

Is it because you didn't read the rules? There are still lots of big money tournaments and meta players out there while more packs are being made and printed. It's still one of the bigger TCGs.

_________'s Pikachu (commonly known as "Birthday Pikachu") was Promo Card number 24 printed by WotC. The effect of its attack, Birthday Surprise, says, "...if it is your birthday, flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 30 damage plus 50 more damage...". WotC banned this card quickly after its release, because there was no quick, easy way to check that it was actually someone's birthday whenever he attacked with the card. Disproving liars who wanted to do a lot of damage for a few energy turned out to require much more effort than it was worth.

my yu-gi-oh deck is gathering dust inside my closet for at least 5 years now.
Dragvon
Yawn, i like yugioh.
Of course, there are stupid overpriced cards such as Brainec and (will stop here '-')...

I like playing it online on my ds, at least it's cheaper :3

pokers is still one of my favorites
GladiOol
All my cards are sold from me~
Have spent like 50 euro on it, but got a profit of 120-ish euro out of it.

My brother was the best trader ever, always going to the small kids who got good cards out of a booster packet.
Then he would trade those for a few sucky glitter omg awesome cards, and bam. Alot of profit xD
Cuddlebun
sold my cards to retarded elementary school kids couple of years ago, they were gathering dust for about six or seven years. I'm bad with time.

NoHitter

Guys.

I entered Pokémon TCG tournaments.

;_;

I guess I'm the first one who says this, but anyway... Yes, I play Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG and am willing to play it through a chat.

Playing TCGs through chat works just fine, as long as either of the players cheat. And I don't care if they cheat, I will win them anyway :P

Hmmmm.... i'll just leave this here

Can you shut up weegee we don't need your pokemons here.
Mogsy
I play MtG still. The overpriced cards make standard tourney play ridiculous and the metagame is now running exceptionally high on luck instead of skill. I don't buy cards anymore, but if I look through standard cards and come up with a deck, I'll order the cards (usually what I come up with doesn't run for more than $10-$25). I'll then play with that deck and finetune it with each coming set.

I will never shut up Wojjan.
The Pokeymans need to be heard!
