    Skipping these downbeats seems strange to me even considering it's a slow section in an easy diff

Not much to say about this difficulty. I was thinking about commenting on some of the slider overlapping in the section after the kiai time, but it works fine and doesn't look bad. The map plays very nicely. Well done!

Don't get me wrong, I don't think that what you currently have is bad, I just think it could be better.
