Hi, from queue, col 1234

yo thomas the tank engine was my shiz back in the day

anyways

General -> should probably consider the diff names
F4 -> audio -> lower hitsounds by like 15%
F4 -> design -> uncheck 'widescreen support'

-> Should really avoid mapping to vocals

[420]
- should follow 2121212 pattern on the drums (2 on snare drums) and then layer other sounds on top of that
00:01:835 - Add note
00:03:035 - ^
00:04:985 - ^
00:05:435 - ^
00:07:835 - ^
00:08:435 - ^ (strong sound)
00:09:785 - ^
00:10:235 - ^
00:11:435 - ^
00:12:635 - ^
00:13:235 - ^
00:14:585 - ^
00:15:635 - ^
00:17:435 - ^
00:18:035 - You should map this section, the hardest diff generally maps all sounds, and there aren't really breaks in osu!mania. Could map LN to the buildup sound, then notes for the snare drum
00:20:435 - Add note, really strong sound
00:21:035 - ^
00:21:785 - ^
00:23:435 - ^
00:25:235 - ^
00:26:585 - ^
00:27:335 - Remove a note, there's no strong sound here, and the gun cocking doesn't have more impact than the snares or kick drums, plus you didn't map the other gun sounds.
00:29:435 (29435|2) - Add note, make it col 2 and 4 to avoid unecessary jack and for better playability
00:30:035 - Not sure why all of a sudden this one bass kick has double notes when none of the other instances had it, so remove the note for consistency.
00:30:335 (30335|3) - Move to col 1 or 2 for hand balance
00:31:385 - Add note
00:33:335 (33335|0) - Move to col 2
00:34:235 - Add note
00:36:185 - ^
00:37:235 - Same as earlier, should map this section, there shouldn't be any pauses in a song this short that doesn't actually have any auditory gaps.
00:39:485 - Remove, isn't mapped to a sound
00:39:935 - Remove note, the piano doesn't have that much of an impact, and isn't as strong as say, the snares or explosion-y sounds
00:40:235 - Add note
00:41:435 - ^
00:42:635 - ^
00:42:785 (42785|1,43085|0) - Remove note, not mapped to a sound
00:43:835 (43835|2) - Add note (3 total)
00:44:435 - Add note
00:45:035 - ^
00:46:235 - ^
00:46:385 (46385|1,46685|3,46985|1,47285|1) - Remove, there's no 1/4 pattern sound, meaning there's nothing to map to
00:48:635 (48635|1) - Add note, avoid col 2 as you've too many notes in a row for that col on a slow song that isn't too hard
00:49:835 - Add note
00:49:385 (49385|2,49985|1,50285|2) - Remove, don't map to vocal
00:49:385 (49385|2,49985|1,50285|2) - Add note
00:51:485 (51485|1,51785|3,52085|3) - Remove, don't map to vocal, and there's also no 1/4 pattern here in the song
00:52:235 - Add note
00:52:685 (52685|2,53285|0,53585|2) - Remove, don't map to vocal, there's no 1/4 pattern here
00:53:435 - Add note
00:55:835 - ^
00:56:135 - Remove note, there aren't any strong sounds here
00:56:435 - Same as the other two breaks, not needed
00:58:835 - Add note, strong sound
01:00:185 - Add note col 3
01:00:635 - Add note
01:00:785 (60785|2,61085|2,61385|0,61685|2,61985|0,62285|2,62585|2) - Remove, don't map to vocals and there's no 1/4 pattern here
01:01:835 - Add note
01:03:485 (63485|1,63785|1,64085|1,64385|3,64685|3) - Remove, don't map to vocal, there's no 1/4 pattern here
01:05:435 - Add note
01:05:885 (65885|2,66185|1) - Remove, no vocal, no 1/4 pattern
01:06:035 - Add note
>> Rest of the song, don't map to vocals, generally 2 notes for snares

I'm assuming that you're a new mania mapper/player, so I hope I didn't come off as too harsh or rude. In general with osu!mania mapping, more notes are allocated to stronger sounds, so snares/kick drums/cymbals get more notes than hi-hats. It's also a rule of thumb to generally NOT map to vocals (as you can tell) for a few reasons (that I personally believe in):

- vocals are inconsistent and don't always adhere to the main pattern
- it's hard as a player to determine when vocals are mapped to and when they're not as it's not easy to tell which sylabbles are mapped

However, sometimes you DO map the vocals because it's the only sound in the song during that section, or if it's a really, really obvious sound.

Some other things to note would be to keep a consistent pattern or layering style for specific sections of the song. What I mean by this, is for example, keeping 2 notes per snare and 1 note per bass kick and hi-hat in this verse, with LN's on every bar's piano sound until a drum fill or the chorus. Usually then you can change patterns because a break in pace lets the user readjust to a new pattern or style of layering.

Normally I did everything, thanks a lot dude, it's cool too see people that mods my map even if this is a newbie map, thank you a lot! So normally I did everything but I have a question, in most of maps, kicks have 2 notes and snares have 1 note in all the map?
