It was never my intention to insult anyone as I was under the impression that it was intentionally bad. The song is stupid, so I thought maybe the storyboard was supposed to be too.

I don't understand why everyone is hating on Nowsmart and his map. -w-

It's his first very hard map, noone just started mapping and immediatly became a god at mapping.
Everyone is just saying what they don't like, why don't you tell him what he could do better?

I don't think this map is as bad as everyone says. It has some hard and rough parts, but that's why its rated 5*
LNs and fast bursts might not be fun to play, but that doesn't mean the map is shit ^-^

People hate LN because half of them cannot play it. It'd be fine with LNs in my opinion.

We don't need LN free Stepmania maps. I think LNs are really important.

The LNs aren't the problem, I don't think anyone here really minds the LNs anywhere as much as the fact that the 1/8s are far harder than what they could be. The rest of the map is fine, most of my qualms with the LNs (and the map in general) are subjective and in the grand scheme of things irrelevant.

I don't think anyone disagrees with the latter part of the statement. I feel that LNs create a different dimension of the game, but there are reasons why it's not used in 4K as much as other key modes; but that's a discussion for another time.

Idk why people seem to think that it's the lns that people hate (I mean every time people dislike a map, those who support the map will always blame it on 'ln hate'). It's the bursts and the transitions from the bursts that are the problem, they can really be improved on.

As for LN part, I think that it's too easy compared to rest of the map, imo you could make LNs harder and remove some notes to make it flow better
you don't need to remove all of them, but as Shoegazer said, either make it equally hard to the rest or focus on one thing

I feel the ln part should instead be chord jacks or something of the sort, as it is the heaviest part of the song

Learning to make storyboard is a good thing. But your effect needs more improvements. Also it looks scary. I can get the feel you want to show in storyboard, but the images fuzzy. So it caused whole feel made us feel scared.
Source should be empty. Also you can add Newgrounds into tags.
And, your mp3 quality is kinda poor, you should change new one.

My personal suggestion about the HP and OD setting is, you can just try to make it lower.

But before that, you must make everything well, then players can just enjoy the map well. I expect you'll have a good performance, good luck after disqualified !

I would also like to point out some things that I hope can help you improve your map. (Some of this I'd written before, so excuse any repetitions of what Spy said)

To start off, my view on LNs:
I think LNs are fun when they're used appropriately. They should only be used when both the start and the end of one is mapped to a clearly defined and audible start and end of a sound. This might be the case for something like a synth lead. The release timing of LNs is just as important as the LN start in osu!mania, and so it should be treated for mapping. To me, a loose LN end = ghost note.

[General]

Audio: As I said before, the mp3 quality is atrocious. You should use this one instead.
Metadata: Source should be empty, ThirdStyle probably better belongs into the tags if anywhere at all.

[Extra]
A. 00:12:924 (12924|1) - Ghost note, so you should remove it. You can flip the two middle lanes from 00:12:974 to 00:14:574 to fix consistency in alternating at the same time.

B. From 00:12:974 to 00:25:774 - There is no need for LNs here. The sound you are mapping LNs to is much shorter than 1/2, so in most cases the LN end is basically mapped to nothing. Like Spy said, use normal notes instead.
Also, consider remapping that section using the same jackhammer patterns as you did in the intro. The drum in the background is still the same. Without the jacks, that section is a lot easier than the intro.

C. From 00:22:574 to 00:25:574 - I think this entire section is overdone. You are mapping just one sound with full 4 note chords. I suggest you use only single notes, because it is also calmer than the rest.
I agree with Spy that the SV isn't necessary and hard to anticipate in the current version, but if you limit this to single notes in one lane, the SV might be nice. If you keep it, make it more subtle and do not speed up above 1.00. Just gradually dip to perhaps about x0.80 and back up to x1.00. And make sure you confirm this with a QAT because you probably don't want it DQ'd over the same thing. :D

D. From 00:25:774 to 00:38:574 - See point B. The LNs shouldn't be used here.
Here is a suggestion to consider: This section is also extremely easy compared to the bursts you use in the map. In the background, there is a lot more going on from the cymbal-like sound at 1/2 and sometimes 1/4. The better audio quality should make this easier to hear. Since you are mapping an extra, maybe you could map some of that in and use 3-note chords on the white ticks to create a more balanced difficulty instead of just 1/1. Something that looks a bit more like this (although that may very well be over the top, better ask the experienced players who the Extra diff is aimed at.

E. From 00:44:974 to 00:48:074 - Again, remove the LNs. Not suitable for the sound effect.

From here on, these are just opinions/suggestions. Think about them, maybe you like them, or leave it be if you don't.

F. From 00:52:974 to 00:57:274 - In this section, I think it's a good idea to map LNs to the synth, it is a lot more fitting. However, I think you mapped it in a strange way. If you listen closely, the synth is playing ascending triplets: A short, accented high note follows after two low notes. You mapped this short, high sound as LN but left out 1-2 of the low sounds. I think it would feel better to map only the two long, low notes, or all three of them.

G. From 00:57:774 to 01:04:174 - You could consider mapping the synth LNs too in this section, for consistency. If you use the first alternative I suggested in F, maybe the drums can be baked into the existing pattern to escalate the difficulty a little.

H. From 01:04:174 to 01:39:074 - Same as F. I think this section feels weird to play because you mapped the LN to the short, high note only where it's not so fitting. I think it would be better to use the same LN pattern I recommended for F: Two LNs for the long, low notes and a normal note for the high sound. Just change the direction to represent the shift in pitch.

For F, G, H: I made a short section as an example of how I think this could be mapped. I think it's easier than to explain in words what I mean. :D Give it a try, maybe you'll like this approach.

For the rest of the map, I think you're better off asking the pro players for advice. Some similar ideas to what I mentioned above apply regarding LNs/jacks.

[Insane]

Just a small note here: I liked the use of jacks in the intro and other sections of the Extra diff, but there are no jacks here. Maybe you can use the Insane diff to introduce the player to jackhammers in small pairs, like so https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/3124647 or even more.

Also, the same thing from Extra about LNs in the first half of the song counts, they should be removed.
