"It" cannot mean "the matches" since the date in Challonge is the 6th and Rayden said that the matches will start Fridays.With "it" I mean the tournament itself. And it the matches are played over the weekend. Rayden also said on this day your match times will be given because of timezone difference
So what exactly is "it"?

Besides the fact that many players got enough points to play in the next cup and still stay in the lower one, the admins don't know their own rules... I know it's not easy to host a tournament (did it for another game as well) but starting with 20+ players for each of multiple cups was a bad idea, it's just so much work and if you think there may be the slightest chance that you can't keep up, cancel it.
There is a rule that a referee creates the room, if not, the players should do as the streamers say. Next thing is that only the final will be streamed and and players can create a room themselves (<- makes sense, but why change to that instead of starting with it?). First it was said that matches will be played in friday and saturday from 7pm to 4am GMT+2, another post says friday, saturday and sunday, then it doesn't matter anyway... There should be given detailed information about the matches - did anyone get them? I just got a message from my opponent, I didn't show up on tze day tournament was playing... What the heck?
The last, or better said first, mistake is, that many people aren't even listed (lol)

i didnt know about the time zone i thought it was something besides GMT+2 well apparently i was supposed to play at like 8 AM my time

Since the matches were SUPPOSED to be played friday to sunday, you probably can msg an axe member and win by default if your opponent doesn't show up.(probably)thewagner wrote:

eh i couldnt ever find my opponent online when i was during the weekend and i missed the first time because of my own stupidity, give him the win i cant rly be bothered anymore.

About the streaming. This will only be done from quarter finals off since we don't have time to stream every match. You don't need a ref just send a mp link of the match to me, Shockwavq or Rayden. If you want one I'm on most of the time just msg me ingame. The challonge will be updated every sunday evening. If you're opponent hasn't come online 2 days after the match is sheduled pm me, Shockwavq or Rayden and we will look into it. If it is true you will get the win. I hope this explains all the questions.

Seems my administration team has failed in keeping up with this task. I am only a Prize sponsor and have seen some sad things going on in all tournaments attempting to be hosted by us.
So I have to remove my sponsorship from this game type and relieve all admins of hosting tournaments for future as its just not working out. If any tournament requires a sponsor contact me directly and I will not be involved in tournaments through the axe or Cave Brand Again. Thanks all and apologies to all but all the have come in here can catch me on saturday evening and join my game to have a chance to win a goodie bag full of supporter. This is madness and cannot support / fund tournaments unless its done correctly

Not surprising that this would happen, coming from this team of organizers. you tried to do so much within such a small time frame without any experience running tournaments in this game. Take this as an opportunity to learn from the mistakes you've made and come back sometime, organized and ready to go.
