Other scores got pushed down
older scores were bumped down, so it's not exactly an 18pp increase.

I really like the new pp system, but unfortunately it caused that people even in the earlystages are caring way too much about that shit.

IMHO though you should definitely play the game to enjoy it at an early stage rather than just chasing PP until you have a decent amount of it.
Personally I waited until I FCed every EBA map before I started caring about PP.
