I don't really see a difference in quality here. I think this is the best you'll get. Unless I can't hear, try judging it yourself.

then you re-encoded it up to 192 kbps. which is evil. don't do that.

anyway, found a much better audio file. here you go. the new offset should be around 381 (video offset is gonna have to be something around -3000).

also, your bg is 1024x768 (4:3), but the original image that it comes from is 1680x1050 (16:10). this means it makes the most sense for your bg to either be 1229x768 (16:10) to maintain the original aspect ratio and framing, or cropped and resized to 1366x768 (16:9) to have the most pixels in the bg as possible. you can choose what is more important to you:

16:10 - 1229x768

lossless png | lossy jpg

16:9 - 1366x768

lossless png | lossy jpg

the difference between the png and jpg versions is mostly visible in the smoothness of the gradients in the sky

I'm not sure where Zerochan got the image but the original should be on the official website I guess.

Also I didn't heard that bg must be 16:9. For myself I often play osu on 4:3 resolution. So I just resized the 1600*1200 version to 1024*768. Thanks for your work but I don't want to change the bg now.

I'm not sure about the mp3 file. Actually I didn't notice the difference. May be I should wait for some further reply.

Ringating's mp3 sounds fine. Please don't transcode mp3s up like that. It results in far-worse sounding files with bloated file sizes.

The Extra takes way too many rhythmic liberties (especially with unsnapped slider ends everywhere) imo. Even if you disagree, you should at least fix the hitsound holes.
