Advanced is kinda slow: but that's how I wanted to make it. Since this is a slow (85 BPM) song I didn't want to make it really hard.

Special thanks to Gero and -Bakari- for all their support. You guys are the best, don't ever forget. I was the one who let you down.

06/12/13: It's been a while and I haven't made much progress in this. Guess there's not much leisure time in college. Anyways, Normal is at 40%. Also, maybe is just to assure you this is not dead :)
08/12/13: Normal at 50%, minor changes on hard. (Mainly note placement) This is taking longer than I thought...
09/09/14: A pretty big break. Will finish Normal soon and also start to get some mods and maybeee a GD.

Hey. Saw this in timing check queue.

You need 2 timing sections:

85 BPM 4/4 Offset 5900
85.060 BPM 4/4 Offset 15782

I'm pretty sure that's it. The BPM starts when all instruments start playing together, so don't map the first 5 seconds. (start mapping when the first timing section starts)
I think the song is cool, good luck with the map! Might come back to check it later.

  2. first thing that i notice in this map is that the first object after the spinner is to close to it like: 00:03:076 (1,1) - 00:15:605 (1,1) - 00:49:816 (1,1) - 01:12:741 (1,1) - ecc..
  3. second thing is that the hitsound could be really better in parts like 00:05:899 (1) - missing finishes 00:46:818 (2) - missing whistle you should notice more the strong sounds and add the appropriate hitsound
  4. 00:14:723 (1,2,3) - this pattern is so borring why don't you try to unstack this circles to continue the flow to the spinner and not block it
  5. 00:15:605 (1) - this spinner basicly should start in the strong sound of battery that you hear also 00:15:782 - and not where is atm
  6. 00:20:014 (3) - is better to do a singular slider as a reverse one it would fitt better
  7. 00:21:072 (5) - this slider basicly should end at 00:21:777 -
  8. 00:40:823 (1) - ;_; nuuh this basicly should start 00:41:175 - here in the down beat
  9. 00:41:175 - from here you should start to change your hitsound pattern with a stronger sound as a whistle like a normal sampleset and i'm really sorry you should change the rhythm aswell

The preview point is weirdly positioned, use 00:51:756 instead.

00:20:014 (3) - Could and should blanket the following (4).
00:21:072 (5) - Could be divided into a circle and a 1/2 slider, unless you want to strictly follow the vocal only.
00:24:246 (4,5) - Fix the distance snap.
00:29:889 (4) - Improve the blanket to the previous (3).
00:41:175 (1,2,3,1,2) - This is really unfitting and eccentric. Use the same rhythm as at 01:48:892 (1,2,3,1,2) instead.
00:49:993 (1) - End it 1/2 earlier. Doesn't give much room to prepare for the following object.

  1. 02:22:751 - I wouldn't put a kiai point here, since it's the solo. The kiai is usually used for the chorus, so a kiai there won't be necessary. But, the second goes more to 02:50:966 -, since it's a chorus.

Normal

  1. 00:03:076 (1) - I highly suggest you reduce the spinner's length by a 1/2 a beat (which is on 00:05:193 - ), in order for the players to get back in track when they finished spinning it. It'll have a bigger break than a 1/4 beat break.
  2. 00:11:193 (4,1) - It's not major, but the distance is inconstant from the distance snap.
  3. 00:21:425 (6) - I would rotate this a bit to the left, or make it straight so it could shoot better to the next circle.
  4. 00:23:188 (3) - This slider seems really weird when you hear. If you followed the vocals, but you shouldn't break the rhythm that follows the piano. Also, you left a piano beat on 00:23:541 with a slider tick, which I don't think it would go together. I suggest that you put something that is clickable on that beat.
  5. 00:39:765 - I don't think you should put a long pause here. I would add a circle or a slider on that beat so the pause wouldn't be really awkward.
  6. 00:42:586 (3) - This slider ends on a tick that shouldn't be on. And the slider is really weird to hear. Unless it's a mistake, you should end it on the white tick before the blue tick.

  5. 00:40:117 (2) - I'd replace the circle by a 1/2 slider so it doesn't avoid the white tick. Without the white tick, I clicked the circle (3) too early.
  6. 00:47:876 (3,4,5) - This rhythm breaks the previous rhythms, because it follows the voice, instead of the instrument. It's a little weird to listen to it. So I'd map the instrument there.

  1. Eh... your Kiai time on every diff should be consistent, since you're the only mapper. There isn't any apparent reason to end Kiai earlier on Hard.
  2. Cool, other things here seem to be clear.

  1. 00:13:664 (4,5) - I think it's a little better rhythm-wise if you Ctrl+G those notes and fix spacing afterwards. My reason: Clicking a hold slider in a red tick and ending it in a downbeat (or a big white tick) doesn't mark a real difference in rhythm and it's ankward to play (and downbeats are usually strong notes, and that's why they should be clicked instead). It also helps to hold vocals better ;)
  2. 00:15:075 (2,3) - And if you do ^, consider turning this into a slider too, for the same reason. It has a major effect on gameplay, since players hold a vocal (which feels good and natural to play).
  3. 00:20:014 (3,4) - You should fix the blanket here. Should look like this instead of this.
  4. 00:23:188 (5) - If you plan on using slidertick-based hitsounds, you should make them quieter than average, clickeable (or the ones at the end of a slider/spinner) hitsounds since they could be confusing for new players. This is also a guideline on the Ranking Criteria:

If you just place random circles like that, players will think they are still following vocals. If you want a rhythm like this, it's better if you do something like this instead, since your actual arrangement is hard to play.
  33. 02:11:465 - Maybe you should making this beat clickeable. Forcing a player to hold a sound that isn't even held is ankward for player itself. So, ending the slider earlier and making this clickeable might make this part easier.
  34. 02:17:108 (1,2,3,4,5) - Alright, too much clicking here. Normal isn't still a place for singles in sucession yet so maybe you want to create a slider to replace 02:17:812 (3,4) -
  35. 02:23:103 (2,3) - Idk if blankets are intended, but if they are you need to fix it.

  37. 02:36:153 (5) - Preference: Maybe curving this keeps the curve flow 02:34:742 (3,4) - started?

  40. 03:25:530 (3,4) - Slider 4 should begin where circle 3 is, to avoid ending slider on the white tick as there is a relevant note there, and it should be clicked.

  42. Diff can still improve rhythm-wise IMO, as well as regarding NCs. Flow is okay, but spacing issues are not.

Alright... now I'm not really in the mood to mod Hard, so I'll only say two things: Check NCs and blankets. Make sure NCs are consistent and blankets are perfect (I checked and some NCs are just a mess; same with blankets).

  2. 00:35:532 - just a friendly reminder to stress the slidertick sound at this point. :) Such a strong downbeat can't be mapped with a regular slidertick.
  3. 00:58:457 (2,3,4) - select them and hit Ctrl+g. It will swap them on the timeline, this way rhythm will match better with the music. However, you'll have to fix placement afterwards.
    Note: 01:07:980 (2,3) - 01:18:208 (2,3) - 01:38:664 (3,4) - and so on, I think you can notice them yourself - same here. If you want to know more, you can read this
  4. 01:16:092 - the music is really tough here, I would place a circle just to stress that. It feels empty as it is now.

  1. 00:15:781 (1,1) - try to make the spinner 1/2 shorter. (finish at 00:17:898). For a relaxing part of the song players will not expect (1) to pop out right after spinner.
  2. 00:19:308 (2,3) - (3) follows a very quite beat, replacing it with a slider seems to be a good idea. So, players won't feel weird about hitting a very quite beat.
  3. 00:23:893 (6) - 00:26:715 (7) - 00:32:358 (6) - try to emphasize the beats at big white ticks at least with some slidertick hitsounding. It really should be louder, in my opinion.
  4. 00:35:532 - perople will expect you to follow loud beats on the hardest diff, so, why don't you map this one?
  5. 01:00:044 (6) - mind removing this one? Sounds a little out of place and feels overmapped.
  6. 01:42:896 (6,1) - try to use two 1/4 sliders here, instead? This would represent vocals much better, I think.
  7. 01:59:120 (7) - normally, you use 1/4 "streams" for this kind of sounds. So, the slider looks confusing. Try to replace it with 1/4 circles, you'll like it. :)
    Note: 03:42:459 (3,5) - same applies here, I think.
  8. 02:38:622 (3,4,5) - I'd unstack them. The reason why is to keep this part more "dynamic". Music is quite intense here and stacks don't represent it well.

    It could look a little neater but everything else is quite okay.
Looks pretty nice but it can get just a little better. Keep it up!

  3. 00:23:893 (6) - 00:26:715 (7) - 00:32:358 (6) - try to emphasize the beats at big white ticks at least with some slidertick hitsounding. It really should be louder, in my opinion. Not sure, that would make them a lot more noiser in my opinion. Will give it some thought.
  4. 00:35:532 - perople will expect you to follow loud beats on the hardest diff, so, why don't you map this one? Okay, rearranged into a star pattern.
  5. 01:00:044 (6) - mind removing this one? Sounds a little out of place and feels overmapped. Quite right! Removed.
  6. 01:42:896 (6,1) - try to use two 1/4 sliders here, instead? This would represent vocals much better, I think.Fixed!... but puush is down it seems, I will check your example later but for now I did it my way
  7. 01:59:120 (7) - normally, you use 1/4 "streams" for this kind of sounds. So, the slider looks confusing. Try to replace it with 1/4 circles, you'll like it. :)
    Note: 03:42:459 (3,5) - same applies here, I think. I will fix these later since I will have to remap a lot on those parts, but I will definitly do it. (on the first, not sure about the second)
  8. 02:38:622 (3,4,5) - I'd unstack them. The reason why is to keep this part more "dynamic". Music is quite intense here and stacks don't represent it well.
    Fixed! Did a little triangle with those three.

    It could look a little neater but everything else is quite okay.

Creo que en la parte "Calmada" de la canción deberías seguir el ritmo de la música y no de la letra de la canción, me entiendes? Me parece que en algunas partes pierdes el ritmo que seguías al inicio. Ahora te dejo unos ejemplos. En la parte del kiai time no está mal el ritmo.
Deberías agregar más sonidos al mapa.

Creo que estas olvidando que es dificil seguir este tipo de ritmos en dificultades mas bajas. De todas formas veré el remapeo de algunas partes que si podrian ser mejores sin ir en desmedro de la dificultad. Gracias por tu honesta opinion :D

No. Una insane no es necesaria porque: la canción es lenta, mapsets similares se rankean sin problemas, y además no todo tiene que tener una dificultad "loca" para que esté en osu. Personalmente me gustan los mapas mas lentos e intento trasmitir ese gusto con mi mapa, una insane mataría mis intenciones. (Aparte que seria super aburrida, jumps jumps y mas jumps porque no habría otra forma de hacer el mapa dificil).

  1. The primary genre of the song is post-grunge (alt rock is the secondary), so you could add this to tags. Also, the song appears in the film "Bring It On: All or Nothing", so you could include this as well

00:11:899 - Why skip the drum beat here when you've mapped identical beats throughout the intro? I don't think the extra recovery time is necessary after a single 1/4 repeating slider at this low BPM, so I wou;d put a circle here to maintain the rhythm

00:28:831 (3,4,1) - Blanketing is a little off here, and (1) is further from (4) than (3) is. move (1) up to [x-72,y-132], rotate the tail by 2 degrees clockwise, then rotate the tail of (3) 2 degrees anticlockwise

00:42:586 (3,1,2) - Try to blanket these if you can, and then blanket (2) around the tail of (3), like this:

Note: You'll need to move 00:45:760 (3,4,5) around a bit if you do this. If you want the code for the pattern I've suggested, let me know and I'll send it to you

03:43:165 (7) - I would NC here for the drum pattern, as the NC currently here doesn't make much sense to me, and you could do with keeping the combo length down

03:44:576 (13) - If you do choose to follow the above rhythm, add another NC here, and remove it from 03:44:928 (1) since (13) is on the downbeat
