No offense but the point of the list is to vote who you personally think are the 20 best overall players not underrated/unknown players.

Right. But i chose them because their skills deserve to get the title "Top players of this year".
Anyway, other users must be vote to "popularity" users, then this vote won't affect on overall votes. So i voted them with my own opinion.

I agree with Zak, it's too early to do this, it doesn't matter if last year it was in october, it was a mistake and it needs to be fixed, because anybody can become good enough to be on the list on the next 3 months. I hope you understand, it is well organized, you can do it 3 months later and I can make the video if you want.

i'd also like to ask something. is limiting the voters to 50 fair enough? why not have a voting period until a set date giving more people a chance to join in and offer their 2 cents?

Actually that has been a problem for the longest time on ctb top 20's, most of the times is hard to get 50 people to vote and at the end those that never vote always start Q_Q because they couldn't vote because due date, wait for CLSW to see if he wants a due date or not

I'm sorry, but NO. Just NO.

If we make a due date instead of limited votes, bonus points from the others (pp rank, CWC participants, and Mod Specialist bonus) wouldn't be balanced.
Well, but we can increase the number of voters, so maybe with 60 or 70?

But what if voting closes, and then someone unknown rises up and deserves a spot in the top players but can't because voting is over? That seems kind of unfair.

If you care about that, then the answer is simple.

Just change the topic name to 'Catch The Beat Top 20 Players 2013-2014', and next year would be 2014-2015.
