Like: Action, Adventure, Comedy, Historical, Shounen, Romance, Mystery, Horror, Tragedy, Drama, Fantasy, Supernatural, Mystery, Sci-Fi, Shoujo, Seinen, Ecchi (mainly in humorous ways) and Martial Arts.
Dislike: Mecha, Sports and Harem.

Dislike : Sports (especially basketball), yaoi, gore, horror.
I'm okay with anything else. Mecha is okay, but I don't watch most mecha. (Gundam rocks!)

my vaforite genre: high class comedy , mahou , magic , supernatural , shounen ai , yaoi , shoujo ai , yuri , ecchi , hentai
dislike genre : harem , shit class comedy , gundam-like ( full gundam), gargantia still good, based past/empire, like mushishi zoku (execpt magi ) and sports

If it's genre, I can be fine with any one of them as long as the quality of the anime is good enough. As for my preferences, I enjoy rom-com, psychological-mystery, and slice-of-life anime.

Chihayafuru is a great anime but I dont think that can be called sport as much as the others.

It is most definitely a sports anime in the same way Hikaru no Go is; the focus is the characters and the sport is used as a framing device, but due to that framing device it falls into the category of sports drama.
