So i was thinking to make a thread that will list many of otaku thingy you may love to learn. If you have hobbies to read manga / watch anime, why don't try to understand anything behind it?
If you have some interesting facts about anime/manga/other otaku stuffs , please feel free to share (ofc i need the source to clarify it )
and if i tell something wrong, please tell me too, by providing the source
And last, please be a good person by buying the anime/manga when they're available in your country, to respect their works although i hardly ever doing it
I will keep updating the knowledge and facts once i found something interesting

Anime Knowledge
- Do you know that watching anime online or downloading the anime, is an illegal act? but it's not 100 % illegal. cmiiw, as long as your country hasn't licensed the anime, your act is not considered as illegal.
- Do you know that to make 1 normal anime episode (30 mins) took around $145,214 as the production cost?
- Do you know that recording anime series and uploading it to the internet is considered as a crime in some prefectures in Japan?
- Do you know that most of the illegal anime has been deleted by DMCA quite fast because almost all of it was uploaded in the US server?
- Do you know that "The Wind Rises" anime movie by Hayao Miyazaki and Toshio Suzuki was nominated for 2013's Academy Award?
- Do you know that Madoka 3 - Rebellion movie was also submitted by the creator,but didn't nominated by the Academy Award?
Manga Knowledge
- Do you know that mangascan are also illegal, but if the manga hasn't been licensed in your country, they still can release the manga quite easily.that's why read-manga webs are not taken down so easily, but they must follow the DMCA rules, which you must delete the series once the manga has been licensed in your country (most of them was using US server, so yeah)
- Do you know that in scanlating manga, they generally divide the job into 6 general job, which consists : Translator , Cleaner , Typesetter , Proofreader , Quality Checker , and Redrawer?
