I find spacing "acceleration" (referring to "increasing spacing for some parts in the map") fun to play and a nice mapping technique when it's properly used, while going through this diff I've noticed that there are some unjustified spacing changes, I'm not talking about jumps, I'm talking about how 1/2 or 1/4 varies from pattern to pattern. You need to spend a little more time designing patterns so these changes can be consistent and fit the music, try to place your jumps or slow-downs on specific places where there's a vocal or rhythmical variation, like this pattern 01:25:116 (1,2,3,1,2,3,4) - this one is perfectly constructed and the spacing changes make sense, try to do more of "these". Otherwise, sure, it's "fun" and "challenging" to play but not a good mapping practice, in my opinion. Overall the diff looks okay except for some misleading spacing.

But after several testplays I found it a bit weird and didn't sound great either. So I made it like now and it gives me a perfect feeling now.

  1. 00:41:782 (3) - Wrong hitsounding here. You should add the custom slider tick on the first tick removing the clap from this slider's reverse arrow
  2. 01:25:949 (1) - I can hear a sound on the 01:26:261 tick. What about to reduce this slider till there adding a repeat that makes the slider end on the current red tick? http://puu.sh/2GJAw.jpg (I noticed later that you applied this on the normal diff xD I don't see a problem to set it here as well since this is a slider and repeating slider on 1/4 tick doesn't hurt so much)

  1. 01:06:782 (1) - I don't think this new combo is really needed, especially because you didn't use it on 01:20:116 (5) that has the same vocal rhythm. You should remove it to keep consistency with this next part then ;3
  2. 01:13:240 (3,4) - (nazi) move these two circles to stack the (4) with 01:11:782 (1)'s head? Actually it looks ugly IMO

  4. 00:41:782 (1,2) - Actually I felt this pattern very awkward to play when I tested it, really. What about to use this pattern filling each sound in the music with adding those elements? This is muuch better, believe me:

I want to be honest here.
Easy, Normal, Hard and Insane are very flowing and amazing diffs, but I really didn't like the kusano's diff. I felt it very uncomfortable to play.
There are awkward patterns due to spacing varations and I didn't get the 1/4 rhythm you used in some parts, like for example 00:13:449 (1,2) where there is no sound on the (2)' head but this is the same for other parts as well, like the one I mentioned above about 01:10:115 (1,2,3,4).

Oh well, this is just my own personal opinion but for this reason I'm hesitating to bubble it, sorry.

Hey! Chewin linked me a few days ago this map, saying that kusano's diff might need some work before ranking. I got quite curious, so now I am modding it to say what I didn't really like in your diff. Feel free not to give the kudosu, as I'm just modding this diff!

[kusano's Railgun]

  1. 00:04:282 (6,7,8,9,10) - This plays quite good actually, but I really don't like the jumps you have done there, considering that the progression starts at 00:04:699 - , and that this pattern doesen't really follow it. I would recommend instead another option, using a square pattern, plus a triangular pattern as a jump to go with 00:05:116 (1,2,3,4,5) - . It is really fun to play as it follows the oval flow there quite good, and it follows how the synth's progressing there! Here's what I have done, see if you like it!

I really like how the opposed sliders work there, considering 01:23:032 (6) - 's angle it would continue 01:22:616 (5) - 's oval flow in a really nice way, as you have done in other patterns as well! Here, if you want to fix I have reorganized the next patterns as well: no change. I like current pattern than yours.

  2. 00:13:449 (1,2) - I can't really hear what this rhythm is following, it's confusing in play. I'd prefer that you use the same rhythm as 00:16:782 (1,2,3,4) to follow vocals. Try to extend the 1 and have a circle at 00:13:866.
  3. 00:18:032 (6,7,1) - A bit strange the flow into the 1. Try placing the 6 around (336,16) instead. It provides a more comfortable flow imo.
  4. 00:24:491 (4,5,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,1) - I'd really like to see more spacing here as the music gets more intense. I don't think using Kevin's code was such a good idea because this section feels out of place in the map IMO. The rhythm is good, but you need more spacing between the 00:25:949 (1,2,3,1) especially. Try to rework this a bit.

    Just an example here. You could move the 2 more upwards and the 3 more downwards and to the left.
  5. 00:35:116 (1) - Remove finish from the head, it is not supported by a finish in the music and is breaking your pattern here it seems.
  6. 01:03:449 (1,2) - I want less spacing to the double. The reach feels a bit too far. Less of a jump feels more fitting with vocals imo and more consistent with 01:16:365 (1,2,1,2). Try around (435,364).
[Insane]

  1. 00:38:449 (1,2) - It's difficult to understand the switch to 1/4 on the 2, players will want to hit the 2 as if it were at 00:39:074. Try to make a little more spacing between the 1 and 2, it will be easier to read, like the 00:34:595 (4,5).
  2. 00:41:782 (1,2,3,4,5,1) - This is really difficult to understand. The 1 having an extra repeat makes it end on the blue tick 00:42:720 which isn't hitting with anything in the song because the bass transition switches to 1/2 at that point. I highly suggest remove a repeat from the 1 and add a circle 00:42:616 and 00:42:824 to follow the music.
  3. 00:57:407 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) - It would be much nicer i we didn't start streaming until 00:57:616 where the bass stream starts in the music. I think you could have a 1/4 slider at 00:57:407 to follow the pattern from 00:56:782 (1,2,3,4) and use it to kick off the stream:

    The extra repeat is really unexpected, especially if you know the song, and it ending on the blue tick is hitting along with nothing in the music. I talked with a few other people and they agreed that the pattern is confusing when it doesn't need to be.

    I'll try again with some different options here:

    You could have a 1/2 slider at 00:41:782 to reflect the 00:41:365 (6) and then use a rhythm like so:


    Or you could try a triplet after the 2 instead:

    Single circles with jumps might be nice:

I think otherwise.. there's actually a sound which is more noticeable than the bass-drum. That's why that slider originally had an extra repeat. But yeah, I can tell why you think it's confusing thus I replaced it with 2 sliders according to kajiyatta's suggestion so it is now less confusing imo (hopefully). i'm not sure if you're fine with it so i'd like to get your opinion on it. (at least i really love the current one.)
