Well.. Some things that I've noticed about your SB. It's really nice, but you can make it even better!
  1. First of all, there's only one thing that really bugs me. In "compose" tab and during testplay/gameplay there's a white line in the right edge of screen. This line is flashing and it's really annoying sometimes. 01:09:577 - here's the screenshot. But it happens a lot, test your map and you'll see it.
  2. Try to make fade effect for SB/FG/9 a bit longer. It disappears too fast an dit doesn't look really nice. I thing it's better if you start fading on 99451 (01:39:451)

    It looks really good. Hope to see more of your works soon.

  2. Start all spinners in this diff 1/2 later. So, beginners will have some time to prepare for spinners and it'll fit with music better! Try it!
  3. 01:36:174 (2,1) - I don't really like gap between these two beats. It's different from your regular rhythm, so it may confuse beginners. So, I've changeed rhythm here for you, here's the screenshot.

  1. Why do you have 2 .osb files? You only need one! :P Go to File > Open Song Folder and remove the usused .osb file. I would keep a back-up in case you removed the wrong one.
  2. Optional, but you could add "Cuffs" in your tags since the game was published and developed by them.
  3. About the storyboard, I didn't witness any repetitive strobes or flashes. Therefore, it is not necessary to display epilepsy warning. I would disable it as it is not needed!
    Maps that use repetitive strobes, pulsing images, or flashing colors in the storyboard must use the epilepsy warning. There is one built-into the editor, which will display a visual warning at the beginning of the map and also mark the map's online thumbnail with a warning icon. Also, it helps to make a note of the flashing/strobes/etc. in the map's thread. This warning is absolutely needed so that players with epilepsy can avoid any danger.
[Easy]
  1. 00:15:501 (3) - The rhythm feels empty with the hit circle alone. I recommend to turn this hit circle into a 1/1 slider (ending at 00:16:006) to complete the rhythm/musical section.
  2. 00:22:560 (2,3) - For better readability, I would recommend to rearrange the notes like this as it has better polarity:
  3. 01:18:527 (3,1) - Optional, but I think it would be better if you remove the spinner and map this part, since it's still part of the kiai section. How about rearranging the patterns like this? If suggested, add a new combo on slider 5 and remove the combo on the next note.

Feedback: The main thing I noticed in this map is the excellent hitsounding and storybording. With a little rearranging here and there, I think it will be ready for ranking!

  3. 01:22:812 (7) - This slider is offbeat due to the slider reverse and it's techincally unrankable. A good way to fix this is to replace this with a 1/2 reverse slider instead. It goes well with the vocal lines as well, so I would recommend it.
Feedback: Good map, but there were a few offbeat sliders here and there. The map has decent flow, but it could be improved with a few more quality mods. Hitsounds didn't let me down yet! :3

  1. 00:16:006 (5,6) - Nothing major, but this spacing between these notes is inconsistent (0.9x spacing). Change the spacing to 0.5x.
  2. 00:49:157 (9) - I would remove this note, since there are no instrument playing here.
  3. 01:37:434 (7) - Consider adding a note here to finish the rhythm. The rhythm feels incomplete without it.

Fixed some issues in .osb file (Inconsistency, not finished fades etc.) Duca - Kokoro no Tane (Short Ver.) (Oyatsu).osb
Increase volume at Kiai time on 70~80%. It's important to make volume of hitsounds and whole map's consistent so you hear both the same, but I hear only clap hitsounds here, but not normal hits.

It's not unrankable, but should be. Artist is: デュッカ and romanised artist: Duca. I'm 100% sure.
Source should be CAFE SOURIRE as says its official website. If you want to know if I'm sure, here's screen. I know other beatmaps has "Cafe Sourire", but official sources are just always 100% sure.
00:51:804 - Using soft-hitclap2 is kinda unnecessary on all the difficutlies at kiai time it totally doesn't fit the music.
Use your soft-slidertick2 more often on places like these:

00:03:653 (2,3,4,5,6,7,1) - This is the point where I realized, wow, you must be a professional mapper. I pulled out my wallet and started tossing bills at the screen, because I'd pay you to map like this not really I'm poor sorry Skeptics at this point might yell, "OVERMAPPED" but not me. I believe in you.

00:16:006 (5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,1) - I really like the spacing on your streams. But um, this might just be me, maybe I'm blind, idk, but I think the start of this stream (the 5-circle) isn't placed on the stream curve. I think the positioning is off a bit, slightly too far up. pleasedonthurtme

00:18:527 (5) - Nice hitsound.

00:36:678 (4,1,2,3,4) - I'm really amazed at how well your sliders interact with one another. You utilize so many different spacings here but the sliders all seem to fit together so perfectly.

00:46:762 (5,1) - The corner is the perfect spot for this stack. I don't think it could have worked anywhere else.

00:49:283 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - Hnnnnng accelerated spacing into repeat slider. This is like, my osu-fetish.

00:53:316 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11) - I love this combo, especially towards the end. The central jump (9,10,11) just completes it so well. Also your sliders have really, really nice curves. You arrange those gentle slopes in such a beautiful way. Er, please don't take that the wrong way.

01:03:401 (1,2,3) - The pieces here fit together so well. Like Legos. Or Tetris.

01:07:182 (6,7,8) - What is this called? There has to be a name for this specific kind of slider/hitcircle placement. Because it's just awesome. I'll call it the Oyatsu-Central-Slider-Stack-Jump from now on, until someone corrects me.

01:10:459 (6) - Let me just say that I love you for not stacking the beginning of this slider onto the 3-circle in this combo. Most mappers would be like omigosh, DISTANCE SNAP and slap it right on top of the 3-circle. But not you. <3

01:30:375 (3,1) - Okay, so about that last comment I made about the stack in the corner, and how it couldn't have worked anywhere else on the screen? I lied. Because somehow you managed to pull it off here as well. Somehow everything you do is fantastic. You're fantastic. Did anyone ever tell you that you're fantastic?

This is a very enjoyable map! I usually don't have this much fun playing through a map that isn't of 5-star difficulty. Your arrangement of map elements is aesthetically stunning, which, combined with your high degree of skill (or perhaps supreme intuition) at placing jumps, makes for extremely satisfying play.

01:11:468 (1,2,3) - It might be a good idea to arrange this in a way that isn't as linear. The vocal rhythm here gives you a lot of room to maneuver with your jumps, and linearity here is a bit boring in my opinion. Maybe this is the perfect opportunity to sneak in your patented Oyatsu-Central-Slider-Stack-Jump...?!

01:31:132 (2,3,4) - This plays somewhat awkwardly for me. I think it's the positioning of the long slider following the somewhat unexpected (in terms of the vocal rhythm) repeat slider. Another thing that I think is an issue is the skipped downbeat in the middle of the long slider, which is followed by a hitcircle after only 1/2 of a beat. I think that skipping over the downbeat here causes the player to expect a longer delay following the slider release. I can't really explain it too well I guess, but for me this section is just a bit strange.

[Normal]
Approach Rate up to 5 (+1). AR4 is much too slow; and in fact seems to make the timings a lot harder to read. There's just too much going on on the screen at one time with AR4. AR5 fixes this issue of information overload, imo.

00:51:300 (4,5) - I think you should space these two out a bit more. The long slider here prepares the player for a jump, should you choose to execute one, and it just so happens that the music would fit perfectly should you decide to execute a jump here (transition of focus from vocal melody to percussive elements, ex. open hi-hat into snare). That is to say, maybe you should make this a jump.

01:08:695 (4) - As above. In this difficulty, you seem to have chosen to stick with a single distance snap. Your jumps in Insane were so beautiful! Why not try and replicate some of that same beauty here, for newer osu players to enjoy?

[Easy]
Like with Insane, I don't see any issues here. But I mean, there's always very little room for error when you're dealing with a class of difficulty whose maps consist of 95% white ticks...

So I hope you'll forgive me for going a bit light on the compliments on this one, ahaha...

But in general I think you should consider the vocals a little more. Just my opinion though.
  13. 01:17:518 (1) - The vocal note ends at 01:17:896 - (you should probably shorten this slider by 1/4 tick and then add a hitcircle or slider after it imo)
  14. 01:39:451 (1) - just my opinion but I think you should put a note here and start the spinner 1/4 tick later ._.
One thing that bothers me a bit is the fact that numerous times, you use a slider end to land on the main beat. 01:31:384 (3) - , 01:07:182 (6) - and etc. Those are just two examples. THere are many other times you do this. This is not a bad technique by any means. I am not trying to tell you it's bad, but I'm saying that it's overused in my opinion. I believe that this should be used less frequently and done on more special occasions for a reason. In this map, I don't see a clear reason for you to need to end the sliders this way. If you disagree with this, feel free to ignore it.

Biggest issue I have with this map is the spacing. You are spacing this like the insane map but the only difference is that there are less notes, which doesn't seem to make much sense to me. Jumps are fine, but you need to have a more restricted distance snapping imo rather than putting jumps just because you feel like it or to make certain patterns. The reason I say this is because the Insane diff was already extremely easy, thus there is no reason to make this Hard difficulty harder with these jumps. Also, because of this spacing, it makes things like 01:33:653 (1,2,3,4) - 00:22:560 (4,5,6) - and 01:11:468 (1,2,3) - harder to read, especially with lower AR.

Another thing is that it widens the difficulty gap as well between Normal and Hard. The difficulty gap is not bad (it's perfectly fine and rankable imo, but it could be better)

I'm going to be strict with your mapping because I see a lot of great potential and I want to help you improve it.

[General]

  1. Quite sure the artist "Duca" does not need to be written in Japanese unicode. Try typing "デュッカ" into Google, you will get strange results that have nothing to do with the artist. Replace "デュッカ" with "Duca".
  2. Really really nice SB!
[Insane]

  1. 00:05:165 (2,3) - A bit unnatural jump to the 2 here imo. Try moving the 2,3 more downwards and placing them more inside the curve given from the 00:04:661 (1). Try like this:
  2. 00:06:426 (5,6) - Small spacing doesn't feel so great imo, you have less than 1.0 spacing here. You could try increasing the spacing and also making a nicer blanket. It will play better after the 4-5 jump. Also make sure to make the 00:05:291 (3,4) blanket and the 00:06:426 (5,6) the same for a consistent pattern here.
  3. 00:17:896 (4,5,1,2) - Looks a bit sloppy. More spacing is nicer here, try moving the 00:19:031 (1,2) - more downwards and to the right so that the slider tail of 00:19:031 (1) is the same spacing from the spacing from the 00:17:896 (4) that the 5 is. Like this:
  4. 00:33:022 (7) - Clap missing perhaps?
  5. 00:55:333 (1,2) - Move to (324,328) is nicer for more spacing and to make the blanket nice. Don't forget to move the 00:56:342 (3,4,5,6) also.
  6. 01:03:905 - When you're using a slidertick hitsound in an Insane diff to accent something important in the music, chances are your rhythm is not very good and is ignoring what's important in the song. Here I suggest that you remove the repeat from the 8 and to add a small stream after it. This way you will start following the drum transition when it's starting in the music instead of after it has started. You could also use a 1/4 slider with a repeat if you wanted. Also a NC on the 8 is great here, the combo gets a little bit long anyways. Here's what I mean:
  7. 01:04:787 (10,11,1) - It would be nice to have larger spacing here. When you have a pattern that increases spacing like 01:04:409 (9,10), you should continue that idea until the next downbeat or tension release. The 01:04:409 (9,10) and the spacing increase is following the drum transition in the music, which is building up tension in anticipation for the finish (downbeat) at 01:05:417. That's why when you decrease spacing like you do at 01:04:787 (10,11,1) before the downbeat, it feels really not so great. You can follow the music better by having similar spacing to the 11 that you do between the two 1/4 sliders, and then a jump and NC to the 1.
    Take 00:50:039 (2,3,4,5,6,1) for example, see how you follow the increased spacing idea until the downbeat? That plays really nicely.
  8. 01:23:569 (1) - Clap on the end is nice.
  9. 01:23:064 (7) - Try replacing with a 1/4 repeating slider instead to better follow the percussion here.
  10. 01:29:619 (1) - Try extending the slider by 1/4 here, seems to follow the music quite well.
  11. 01:30:880 (1,2,3) - My large complaint here is that this super important beat at 01:31:636 falls on the end of the slider and is not stressed. What that does is make your map feel distanct from the music because we aren't moving and clicking along with important aspects of the song. Look at the setup that you have in the hard diff. That is the kind of thing that you want here. Try this sort of rhythm:

    A triplet at 01:31:132 fits the music perfectly and then a jump into the slider 1.
    I have similar complaints with sliders like 01:07:182 (1) although that one is not as bad. On the end of that slider, the vocals start a new idea, so it makes the entire section feel awkward to play imo. You could try arranging as you see fit.
  12. 01:31:384 (3,4,5,6) - You have such small spacing here even though these are some of the most accented beats in the song. A jump to the slider 01:32:392 (6) is fantastic because of the loud finish hit on its head.

I'd like you to work more on this. Take these points here into consideration and work more on matching your spacing and rhythm to the music. Lots of times in this map you use smaller spacing for more intense portions of the song and it makes the map feel less that amazing.

  1. 00:03:148 (3,4) - This is alright here, just note that it's not really following anything in the music since the vocals are completely different here than they were at 00:01:132 (2,3). It would be better if you had a slider at 00:02:896 with a repeat on the blue tick, just like at 00:06:930 (6).

  3. 00:16:006 - I'd like you to remove the slider tick hitsound from this spot. After the finish at 00:15:753 this clap is really noisy. It's just too much noise and may confuse the player. Also the clap at 00:16:006 is much softer than the one at 00:15:501 so it's fine not to have it hitsounded here imo.
  4. 00:27:602 (5) - I think you can make a more intuitive rhythm if you shorten this slider to end at 00:28:611 instead and have the clap on the end. Then have a 1/1 slider at 00:29:115 to follow the vocals. The reason why I say this is because the clap at 00:28:611 is really loud and it's an important beat in the section. It's better to have it on a hit like the slider end instead of in the middle of the slider. Like this:
    This is why the ranking guidelines discourage the use of slidertick hitsounds. They encourage mappers to make unintuitive rhythms because they can add the hitsounds in the middle of sliders and it confuses the player.
  5. Some times in the kiai you use a soft whistle instead of a finish, like at 01:21:048 (4,1) for example, at places where you normally use finishs (in other diffs. It's not a problem, just listing it here.

Here I suggest that you remove the repeat from the 8 and to add a small stream after it. This way you will start following the drum transition when it's starting in the music instead of after it has started. You could also use a 1/4 slider with a repeat if you wanted. Also a NC on the 8 is great here, the combo gets a little bit long anyways. Here's what I mean: :arrow: fixed but I put trouble note afterward overlaps with (8)
  7. 01:04:787 (10,11,1) - It would be nice to have larger spacing here. When you have a pattern that increases spacing like 01:04:409 (9,10), you should continue that idea until the next downbeat or tension release. The 01:04:409 (9,10) and the spacing increase is following the drum transition in the music, which is building up tension in anticipation for the finish (downbeat) at 01:05:417. That's why when you decrease spacing like you do at 01:04:787 (10,11,1) before the downbeat, it feels really not so great. You can follow the music better by having similar spacing to the 11 that you do between the two 1/4 sliders, and then a jump and NC to the 1.
    Take 00:50:039 (2,3,4,5,6,1) for example, see how you follow the increased spacing idea until the downbeat? That plays really nicely. :arrow: I really can't understand this or my english is poor ><. I will ask you after

I feel that sections like 00:17:014 to 00:31:132 are great and have clever placements. You use nice jumps and good flow.

But sections like (just examples):

01:05:417 to 01:13:485
01:27:350 to end
These sections are really not so great and need more work on placements/flow. You stop your good flow/jumps. I gave some examples on ways to fix that.
