This mod could be unranked, but it would be fun - especially for taiko.

In newer authentic taiko no tatsujin home console games there is a mode to switch the hitsounds around - don becomes ka, ka becomes don (or in osu! terms, normal hit becomes clap/whistle and vice-versa).

Just thought it would be fun, and it could even give some osu! standard players a new way to look at songs - some people might enjoy the reversed sounds.

*hit*

Sounds cool.

Hm.

I guess in default osu, would have to be that any object with a whistle or clap sound gets those removed, and any object that initially had no whistle or clap sound would get a clap sound (preferably). And for full taiko consistency, objects that initially had both clap and whistle (which turn into blue finish notes in taiko) would have to have a finish sound added (so it would turn into a red finish note in taiko).

Could be interesting.

Eh, not sure how well it'd sound in osu! standard. (Probably bad) Some players' mapping styles include not using hitsounds for long periods of time, so reversing that and giving EVERY hit object a sound would be bleh.

Would work for Taiko though :T

I think it would work to a humorous effect. Assuming it's an unranked, for-the-hell-of-it mod, I don't see why it couldn't be used. Plus the clap sound is catchy

This could become a disaster if a map is using custom hitsounds like trumpets or cheers.

HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY ... HEY HEY HEY HEY HEY YAHOO YAHOO YAHOO ... YAHOO YAHOO YAHOO YAHOO

Again, that would be funny

This map has been deleted on the request of its creator. It is no longer available.

If this existed, it would actually be unranked in Taiko, at least, since hitsounds really affect the playability of a map in Taiko.

Why not just have hard rock do it?

Inverting patterns is equivalent (a little) to inverting hitsounds in taiko right?
Jarby
No, just no. I'm not liking this idea one bit.

I wouldn't want to see replays using such a mod. In fact I don't see it being worthwhile for anything but taiko (so if it was implemented it would be taiko-only).
So it would be possible to implement for taiko?

To be honest I only mentioned standard in the first place to avoid being stepped on.
Agnes
Hm. I actually support this. This'll be fun, especially on Taiko. (Oh, the hitsound helll~)

I support it!

I like the idea for taiko, but having this in osu!standard would be pretty pointless. Not even that funny :/
Zekira
This is actually an existing mod in Taiko, so support yey. I mean, I can't FC Saitama2000 on that mod wth?

In any case it should still be a 1.0x mod if ever.
