Really need to change the hitsounds on Insane...

There are a few things you could/should do:

a) Lower the volume a bit (maybe 40 or 50%)
b) Don't use the clap hitsound every other note for pretty much the entire song
c) Limit the use of the clap hitsound to notes that need emphasis, for example, the notes for the guitar and the note stacks.

Also I think a slider would fit better than a circle for the very last note of Insane. I'll do a complete mod of all difficulties later.

I took the hitsound off every other note, and put it at the notes for the guitar/note stacks, or if it felt necessary elsewhere. Also added the slider at the end, sounds much better. Thank you.

00:37:113 (5) - Your stream slows down at that circle.
00:42:195 (7,8,9) and 00:42:798 (14) - - Your stream gets faster here. I would fix it with constant spacing.
00:51:153 (1) - Move it in line with the 3 and the 5 above for example that way at 00:54:598 (2,3,4,5,6,7).

Starting with the guest difficulty (Hard)
This is extremely well done! Only comment is this one:
03:26:881 (1,2,3,4,5) - Distance spacing gets progressively greater, seems a little out place, maybe make it uniform like the rest of the song?

Moving down to the Normal difficulty

Follow what silverboxer said for the insane on for your normal difficulty. The clap hitsound gets monotonous pretty early on.

When you have two repeating sliders to finish a thought, such as 00:41:505 (2,3) - 01:03:555 (5,6) - 01:44:897 (2,3) - 02:06:947 (5,6) and 03:24:120 (5,6) some of the spacing between them aren't uniform, and I think they should be, especially in a normal. To me, it looks like they were just slapped up there in places.

For all the sliders you made look a little weird on purpose, I think they'd look better that way if you had some sort of theme that you were following, especially since it's an easier difficulty. If you are wanting to keep them, I'd make them more abundant as well as having a set style. The hard difficulty does this REALLY well! I'll just take note of the sliders that I think look out of place.

00:18:423 (1) - Weird slider.
00:32:203 (1,2,3,4,5) - The spacing isn't uniform between these 5 notes.
00:34:960 (1) and 00:37:716 (1) - The first one looks out of place. The second one falls in the exact same piece of music and doesn't have the same style of shape.
00:57:698 (4) - You could make this slider a little more obvious that it's going to be wonky in the middle, it'll probably throw a newer player off. I think two separate sliders or one like the example below would be a better fit for the music.
01:18:714 (6) - I see what you're doing, trying to match the lyrics, but it just looks weird to me.
01:32:839 (1) - Weird slider.
01:35:595 (1,2,3,4,5) - Spacing between notes isn't uniform.
01:38:351 (1) - Weird slider.
02:01:090 (4) - Weird slider. As an example to fix this but still have the emphasis you're looking for, take a look at this:
02:15:560 (4,5,6) - Distance between these three isn't uniform.
02:36:231 (3,4,5) - See above.
02:58:625 (2) - This seems out of place, as the first time that happened in the music here 02:55:524 (2) you didn't do the same thing.
03:18:262 (4) - This slider just looks bad. And the first emphasis isn't in the right place on the slider. I'd say either break up the long slider into two or more separate ones, or make it a repeating slider, like you have at 00:57:698 (4).
03:25:842 (1) - This one has an odd end.
03:28:943 (1,2) - These look alright (especially because these two come in a pair).
03:32:043 (3,4) - Do the ends of these need to angle like that? (Unless you're going for a theme, I'd change them) They'd look much better if that was a theme you were going for and were more prevalent.

Again, if you're going for a theme, have more of those odd sliders and find a couple styles that you really like and use those. Take a look at the guest diff (the hard), and at how common the "odd" sliders appear in the song, and that doesn't make them look odd with how abundant they are.

KuroKanra is a really great mapper :P Did a much better job than I would have on the hard haha.
If you looked at easy you could probably get as much for me to fix as in the normal here, was difficult to map the easy.

I was going for uniformity in it, so I wonder why I even did that. xD Changed! Made some other improvements / adjustments, too.

images.jpg | What is this used for? or is this just a leftover from when I downloaded this map a long time ago... either or, I think you should delete it if you already haven't and you aren't using it for anything.

Background: its 700x500. The recommended fille size is 1024x768 or 1366x768 | I don't have an image editing program on my laptop but I'll try to get a bigger size for you later if you want it.

Also.. it'd be great if you could get a 192kbs version of this song, but 128 is fine for now as it sounds good enough.

Hitsounds: In your easy diff so far, I've noticed that you put hitsounds on the whole slider sometimes. You can click the head, tail and reverse sections (double click) to only add a hitsound to that specific part of the slider. Another thing to note is that sliders have two different behaviors for hitsounds. The whole length of the slider can be a hitsound that gets drawn out (you generally want to avoid using these unless it completely fits the song) and the head/tail/reverse sections which can be individually clicked to add circle like hitsounds to the part that is being played (you want to use this).

In general, the sliders look a little bit ugly due to having too many nodes (the little block square things) | You should really only have to put 1-3 per slider (not counting the head/tail ones) at the most. Its up to you how you want to map them though of course. The map just gives a '2009' feel to it lol. If you want to get fancy, you can always copy a slider you made and rotate it twice to make it look beautiful, and its pretty easy to do.   4. 00:52:187 (2,3,4) - combine these into one long slider? 00:52:532 (3) - the head is an empty note on the (3) and (4) (No background music to work with it.) Try using a reverse in the middle of it.(at 00:52:876 -)
  5. 01:02:178 (1) - Move this 1/1 back to 01:01:834 - ----v
  6. 01:03:557 (2) - delete this and ---v
  7. 01:03:901 (1) - Move the spinner start to 01:03:212 - This plays better and follow the drum line properly, and makes the short spinner long enough (because it was too short for an easy diff)


  8. Notes like 01:02:178 (1) - are empty and shouldn't really be there. This can be avoided by moving the slider 1/2 back or starting the slider 1/1 earlier where the drums should be. (on red ticks)
  9. 01:38:354 - add note with finish? | this finish here is something you probably don't want to avoid. as it sticks out too much.. you can ignore this if you want to just continue following the vocals like you've been doing
  10. 01:41:110 - ^
  11. 01:43:867 - ^
  12. 01:44:211 (1) - lol @ this slider.. I think thats quite a bit too many nodes, and it will confuse newer players with the sudden slowdown and it moving strangely.

  14. 02:00:060 (1) - move this 1/1 back and turn it into a reverse slider so it ends at 02:01:093 -

    I would highly suggest remapping the sliders, and maybe trying to use 1.2 distance spacing.. though 1.4 should be fine.

Lots of distance spacing issues in this difficulty. maybe try a few other patterns instead of mostly just 1/1s, especially during the kiai time.

00:41:507 (2,3) - instead of stacking these, connect the tail of the (2) with the head of the (3) so its less confusing. as people won't know with a covered note when to hit the next reverse slider.

01:35:598 (1,2,3,4,5) - again, I wouldn't recommend the anti-jumps here. Also for the future, make sure to space them out evenly. In the top right area when you select a note, it will say prev 1.40 / next 1.59 for example. your Distance snap is 1.4 so its best to try to keep all notes on normals and easy diffs close to the 1.4 number.

02:33:135 (1,2,3,4,5) - and now you switch to 1.8 X_X; mind the spacing on this as well.. the anti jumps again don't really work well for normal.

there's quite a bit of repetition for the remainder of this song and I'm sure you'll be able to notice them. The distance spacing should be fine, not guaranteeing anything, but the sudden jumps really need to be changed. if you can keep a constant DS at 1.4 / 1.6 / 1.8 for all your notes, it should be fine. Anti jumps is the main thing that worries me though.

01:03:384 (2) - nothing in the music to indicate a stream for this slider.
02:05:572 (2,3,4) - really bad anti jump. Nothing in the music for this. People will probably think they're just 1/4 notes.
02:12:166 - and a few other spots.. insert breaks here so HP doesn't drain. This applies to the few sections ahead as well
03:31:360 (1,2,3,4) - I would rework this. The distance spacing here is a bit confusing | Try moving the (2) to x304 / y192
03:42:213 (1) - move this 1/2 back to 03:42:041 - for better rhythm

anyways, Few more improvements need to be made and on normals and such, its best to watch your distance spacing so it won't confuse players.

o: I added all of Lanturn's fixes to my diff! I hope I did, ahhhh! They were perfect, thank you very much~ Except instead of lowering the volume of the finishes in that section where I spam them in probably a bad way, I just deleted all those inherited timing sections. They only would have been 5% louder, so;; Sorry, my computer speakers make them sound loud, and my earphones make them sound soft, so I just can't really tell about those. xD I'll give Danny the .osu when he gets back on!

Hitsounds: In your easy diff so far, I've noticed that you put hitsounds on the whole slider sometimes. You can click the head, tail and reverse sections (double click) to only add a hitsound to that specific part of the slider. Another thing to note is that sliders have two different behaviors for hitsounds. The whole length of the slider can be a hitsound that gets drawn out (you generally want to avoid using these unless it completely fits the song) and the head/tail/reverse sections which can be individually clicked to add circle like hitsounds to the part that is being played (you want to use this).

  1. What's the purpose of the timing sections at 3:00:40, 3:02:625, and 3:02:797? If they're not doing anything, delete them.
  2. The inherited timing section at 3:46:565 isn't snapped, so it's only affecting 03:46:864 (5). If it's your intention to have both of those smaller sliders at 2.0x slider velocity, resnap it to 03:46:520. And if you do want them at 2.0x, check that they end on the beat you want them to. (03:46:864 (5) - is on the 1/8.)
  3. 03:46:520 (4,5) - Isn't that unrankable...? Stacking sliders like that... Have to ask someone smarter than me. xD
