On the topic of sleep, does it for anybody else take insanely long to actually fall asleep? I most commonly only manage to after two or so hours of lying in bed trying, but it's not uncommon that it takes three or more, sometimes even seven hours after which I've usually just given up.
I've had this since forever so I'm just used to it, but I get the feeling that most people can't really relate, some people are even baffled by it.
I guess it's partially due to my asthma, I have a hard time breathing just in general.
I wouldn't say it'll take me insanely long to actually fall asleep, even though on some days I need up to 4 hours of just lying there to fall asleep. Most of the time I just need one hour or so. I guess it depends on my physical state of health. I catched a cold recently and it's harder for me to fall asleep because I have truble breathing through the nose and always sniffing and stuff. Normally I'd say I'd fall asleep sooner because this state of health consumes quite the energy but I can't. I'm just tired without sleeping, like insomnia.
My guess is that the root of your problems for falling asleep lies within your asthma and the trouble of breathing that comes along with it.
