Problem with BATs.

The reason is this : viewtopic.php?f=14&t=16801&p=196198#p196198

Now i want to know... anyone try to "Help" me.

Because i'm really angry.

Accepted all comments.

I have some questions...

1) What should be done in order to get the maps ranked? What is the use of the SP if you don't follow it?
2) I want to know why some BATs never answer me when I send PM with mod request in game, they never reply (except mtmcl and Larto), because they're busy to mod some friends map, or chatting etc.
3) Why 90% (maybe 95% or 98%) of BATs always jokes on #osu and nobody reads #mod ?

Be a BAT is like a "Second Job" and we (all the players) are the clients. Yes, be a BAT is stressful, but we need attenctions, ALWAYS.
If you agreed to be part of the osu's staff, you had to expect this, a lot of work.

I honestly have no idea what's going on with me, which is actually quite comical now that I think about it. I also agree with you guys but sadly, I've done what I can and well, that's that.

There is a little example : I ever request help from Larto, and from 6 months he is ignoring me, just a little example... Another example who never checked one of my maps... Zerostarry.

I Don't have problems to say names ;) I'm honest.

We have 31 Bats, but only 3 or 4 helped me, but not ever, sometimes.

But i see all other BATs, mod other BATs map only, that's really sad, as Mystearica says.

This is ridicoulous, if you don't have time for user maps, you have time for your BAT friend map, uh?!

This is the easiest question to answer.

Do not upload maps with glaring mistakes. It should take, at most, 3 BAT posts to achieve a bubble. If it takes more, you're not as skillful as you think you are. Always go over every map before you submit your beatmap package, and remove any errors in them that you can find so you don't have to wait for someone else to. Now, that's stage 1.

Stage 2 is: getting BAT to actually look at your maps. I dunno how to do this, either, though my maps are always low-SP so that could be why!

I actually don't mod bat maps anymore. I rejected a mod request from Takuma because everyone would be like

YOU BE TAG RANKINGZZZZZZZZZZZZ and i'll be like no :(

Being a BAT is not a job. People who are BATs do that voluntarily. And even though we are doing it voluntarily, most of us are doing as much as we possibly can and want to.
We are not the community's slaves. We are trying to mod your maps and to make you guys happy. But still...
We can't do more than we can do.
We are not superhumans just because we have colored names for fucks sake.

On a side note, we ARE doing pretty much at the moment. Looking at the Beatmap Listing, we get around 3-4 maps ranked on a daily basis.

Also, we ARE following the Starpriority system. We ALSO are modding requests, and since requests are usually bound to having more pressure to them, we often do requests first. You people would also bitch around if we didn't mod requests, right?

And if requests get ranked with very little priority, it doesn't mean that the BATs are like "hey guys let's rank this map just because I want to", it means that the map had little to no flaws and that there's no reason to make the map wait for long.
If your maps take very long to get ranked it usually means there's a lot of stuff that needs fixing.

By the way, if I hear people saying "baww BATs are only tag ranking" one more time I'm going to cry. LOOK AT THE FUCKING BEATMAP LISTING AT THE MOMENT:
The mappers for the latest ranked maps: LuigiHann (BAT), gdeath, Mystearica, avira0922...
Actually, do you notice how there's no ranked BAT map except LH's until page 2 with Takuma's "you" map? Tag ranking my ass.

Wow, I wanted to post even more but I'm tired and pissed off by this discussion. I'm sorry if some stuff didn't make as much sense as I wanted it to do, but it's 1 AM.

And I'll lock this topic now, since we had a discussion like this already, and this one will only result in one more useless flamewar. That won't get us farther.

Your view of the situation, honestly, is quite fucked. If being a BAT is a job, then no one will ever do it if they don't get paid for it, thus killing this game community. If being a BAT is voluntary work to help the community of a game that you love; well then we will have lots of BAT's and the system will work. Yeah, it may be less efficient than it would be with a team of paid people, but who would pay them?

Sheesh people, give the BAT's the appreciation they deserve.
