This is the map me and Blue Dragon worked on for some time he has mostly given up on it but I think with a bit of work we can get this thing approved!

pointed out some things on vent, specifically these few patterns:
01:50:822 (1) ~ 01:53:959 (4) - required too much movement for it to be a plausible pattern
02:51:095 (1) ~ 02:51:913 (7) - unreadable and impossible to follow; suggested an "S" shape pattern and he did something cool with it

00:24:231 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12) - Move this to the center of map and remap with perfect symmetry {if you want ofc).
00:59:958 (4) - Maybe better do something like this? Same with other similar sliders 01:00:641 (6,8,9), if you accept this proposal.
01:34:185 (3) - Move to x:100 y:352.
01:48:776 (1) - Maybe delete NC?
02:20:345 (1,1) - I think what it's TOO HARD. Maybe short this jump?
02:41:004 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - IMO better make symmetrical trapezoid.

Have you thought about AR10? With AR9 it feels like there are circles all over the place, which is ...very...confusing. Also, the players that manage to pass THESE jumps should also be able to read AR10, so that wouldn't be a problem IMO..

This map...It's for jumps, what freedom dive is for streams....

Only about those. Okay, if you map to the lyrics here that's fine then. But then the part where it gets confusing is right after that: 01:22:595 (1,2,3)
Because there are no lyrics anymore to map to. I think, maybe, you could improve the flow here by deleting 2 so you have some consistency until the lyrics continue at 01:23:004 (4)

Talked with people about the taiko, all of them have said it's well constructed. Had a look myself and while I'm not particularly good at taiko modding there aren't any of the commonly seen issues.

I highly recommend finding a MAT/BAT who can seriously in depth mod taiko to give the next bubble/approve.

  2. I have a higher accuracy with offset 6106 (+11). Lemme know how this works for you.

  2. My biggest concern about the Taiko diff is that the slow parts don't have a very well defined rhythm. That is:
    1. 00:43:185 (362) - to 00:56:276 (368) - it essentially becomes a "watch the circle" game instead of trying to follow the rhythm. Personally I feel it's pointless to have 8 circles 8/1 apart, so I would just remove this section.
    2. 01:55:731 (168) - to 02:07:731 (190) - feels pretty awkward too. During testing I never have a set offset difference, at times I'd get 20ms early and others I'd be late.
    3. If you completely remove these two sections you will have 30 seconds less of a map. If you don't feel it's a good solution, let's try to come up with something else here.
  3. 01:10:458 (420,421,422,423,424) - Unless you were against using 1/3 for a reason, 1/3 follows this much more closely.

And you can get in passing range halfway through the song even with misses, and if you lose that towards the end when it gets hard that might be an issue with your playing.
