For me the scariest game i played are Amnesia the dark descent, Penumbra, SCP-087 and Ju-on the grudge on wii

And also the browser games like The house 1 & 2 and Cellar Door :D

Amnesia.. yes.. man that game has such a strong vibe. It's creepy even when nothing is happening and the story is surprisingly good

This HAS to go to Amnesia. Dead Space was okay but it was too predictable for me. Amnesia found a way to scare me without even doing anything.

That, and also...

In Dead Space, there are weapons that you could use to fight back.

In Amnesia, all you can do is run away and hide. Not to mention that you're going insane by the minute.

Until I get to play any Silent Hill or Resident Evil game, it would have to be certain campaign levels of the Halo series.

Just Amnesia. And even Amnesia wasn't REALLY scary. So there never really was a game that was able to shock me. I'm still waiting for a game which gives me creeps and nightmares and all that.

I guess for me it'd have to be Fatal Frame. Dead Space was startling at times but I wouldn't say it was scary aside from those moments where you get gangbanged and are low on both health and ammo, rofl

...Okay whoever introduced about Irisu Syndrome in this topic should die deserves a silver medal. I almost got a freakin heart attack after watching a YT vid about it. This one to be precise. (Recommended to watch in the afternoon or when you're NOT alone)

Edit: Oh just great, now I can't sleep >:(

Irisu Syndrome is a great game, I loved it :)

But the scariest game I've ever played is probably SCP: Containtment Breach.
