Overall, I think this mapset is pretty good. Seeing 2 Taiko maps in 1 mapset is kind of rare for a non-taiko
song. I don't think anyone used those other BPMs except for the taiko difficulties. You should probably
just leave it there for consistency.

  1. SB: Afaik, you're allowed one 800x600 element only if it's the same background image you're currently using. Black.png is not, and honestly there is no reason for it to be 800x600 either. Resize it to lower resolution. Spotlight is also 800x600, make it 640x480 at most. Just to be sure check with a MAT/BAT so it doesn't turn out you have to fix those because I am talking nonsense (I do sometimes ;x;).
  2. SB: You might wanna clean up the values. 0.98XXXXXXX can stay 1 for sure without anyone noticing anything.
[Insane]:
  1. Don't think you really need tick rate 2. Sometimes that slider tick is in empty space as well. Maybe put it back to 1?
  2. Set AR to 8. 9 doesn't fit at all. Also I recommend lowering OD by 1, because of the occasional uncommon note timing, but that's up to you.
  3. 00:22:237 (1) - This note is close to impossible to hit correctly unless you know it's coming. You have to be really really good at sightreading to see it coming the first time. I suggest you make a slider in it's place and make some nice slider patterns of the notes that follow.
  4. 00:24:839 (1) - This slider feels too close to the previous combo. Increase spacing if possible.
  5. 00:43:666 (7) - This note doesn't follow anything in the music. I suppose you can leave it there to complete that stream, but something else could fit better. Up to you.
  6. 01:02:818 (1,2,3) - This spacing always throws me off. Maybe I just suck but consider reducing the spacing cause it's kinda confusing.
    01:19:637 (2) - Finish at the start of the slider.
  7. 01:26:909 (1) - Tbh, I don't think this belongs in an insane diff. :D Why not continue mapping like you did until now? Even in hard there is no such thing (it's much shorter and there is more stuff). Not really wrong I suppose so it's up to you.

  1. OD8 in a hard, really? :D Set it either to 6 or 7 (6 if you decide to put 7 in your insane), 8 is way too much for a hard.

General
  1. The colors of the 2nd and the 3rd combo blend in the background too much. Consider changing them for a more visible green or another colors.
  2. Is the mp3 a VBR one ? If not, you have to reencode it to 192kbps
  3. Adjust the audio lead-in of the taiko difficulties to 1000ms
  4. Put "rhythm heaven" in the tags and not only "heaven" even if "rhythm" is already the tags. The search system in-game is different than on the website. If someone search "Rythm Heaven" in-game, the game will not detect your map.
Hyguys' Normal
  1. Difficulty settings : You don't need to follow them if you disagree
    1. HP drain 4, in my opinion it's too much for this difficulty, consider lowering it to 3 ?
  1. Suggestions : You don't need to follow them if you disagree
    1. 00:57:250 (2) - You shouldn't make a jump here, not in a normal difficulty, it's too much confusing
    2. 01:12:364 (1) - The reverse is too late, it should be at 01:12:818 because of the crash sound. I recommand you to do something like that if you want you pattern to follow correctly the music :

      ( Move this inherited timing section (01:13:614) to 01:12:705 as in the screenshot to make the reverse and the end of the slider sounding like the circle.)
    3. 01:17:364 - I'm not a fan of short break (this one is very short, ~350ms long). Nevertheless, it makes a nice effect here with the warning-arrows. I guess it's fine then :3

    1. 01:23:273 (1,2) - The shape of (1) hides the beginning of (2). Even if it's easily readable for the most of players, I recommand you using this kind of pattern only in insane diffs. If you're willing to change it and if you want to keep these slider, this pattern is nice too :
    2. 01:35:773 (5) - Stack this circle with (2) because 2/1 stacked circle are boring, besides it would make a nice pattern :>

  2. Breaks: 01:17:423 - This break is way too short, it's not even 2s long. Oh, it's not properly snapped. Anyhow, you should remove this break.
  3. Timing Points: Timing points are not consistent through the mapset.
Make sure to fix these, I'd suggest using the "osu" file because those offsets are 5~8ms off between the diffs.

Shouldn't there be a signature reset at 01:32:213?
The same kind of reset happens at other parts in the map, like 00:22:313, but this very last one is particularly long.

Also, on the Insane, 01:35:394 (2,3,4) - Are treated as 1/6 notes while on Backfire's Taiko they are treated as 1/4 notes.
The music goes to the 1/6 at that part, therefore Backfire's Taiko has misplaced notes.


I'm not trying to crash the party (I really like the map), I just want to make sure you're aware of these issues.

Just popping for now to fix some minor (yet critical) issues. Will rebubble once we fix them.

Edit: Fixed the time signature as Charles already pointed out in one of his previous mod posts, fixed a 1/4 stack of 3 notes in Insane into a 1/6 double repeating slider to follow the music better. Some small fixes on the SB (which broke for no real reason lol) and made some sliders a little more pretty, while fixing some other issues we created during the fixing process.

No need to kd.

P.S. I didn't see SB load higher than 4,20x at any point, in edit mode. If you still get high loads, delete the .osb and redownload the map please.

Just to reply to the above: both Bass and me were getting 4,20x SB load in edit mode at the said location, while xierbaliti was getting 5,25x for some reason.
In any case, in test mode everything checks out so, yeah.

Hi bass, just letting you know a bit of optimization next time you make a storyboard:

the background is by default black, so instead of fading in a black image (you actually have 2...) you can just fade the background out. This can possibly save you an image, or just a 1.0 story load. It doesn't matter, which is why you shouldn't bother with it now, but just keep it in mind if you make future storyboards and might have problems with keeping it under 5.0.
