UPDATE!
Finally fixed some things that had been bugging me. The new improvements include:
-Changing the slider track border to black to match the hitcircle outlines.
-Replacing the applause.wav with the "KO!" and coin sound effects when Matthew is beaten in the movie.
-Fixing some white borders in default-4.png.
-Giving the spinner circle a more defined border and that little circle in the center.

Realized that the downloadable game made it ripe for making into a skin. Getting the necessary images hasn't been hard, just time-consuming. Pretty much done for now.

Not at all, though I'm having some problems now. You can see in the last shot that I'm getting little white borders around the hitcircle numbers, but I'm not seeing anything like that when I load the files up in Photoshop. Is there some setting that influences this?

Add outer glows or drop shadows. If you have 100% opaque pixels next to !00% transparent pixels, you end up with white junk in the game. Adding faded edges makes that problem go away

Took some experimenting to get the outlines positioned correctly, but the health bar looks pretty cool now. Here it is half-full.

I officially need a new pair of pants. This looks so awesome! Can't wait until it's finished! Aside from the hitsounds, what's left? And are there any hitsounds you're looking for in particular? Maybe I can find some for ya?

Basically any old-school/retro bleep-bloopy 8-bit sounds you can find of varying pitch and length. I have some for the normal set right now, but I still think there's room for improvement.

As for what's left, I'm still working on the hit graphics (300, 100, 50), the default numbers, and the ranking letters. There's also stuff that's halfway or close to being done, like the mod buttons and spinner.

Hitsounds aren't really necessary, since most maps are made to use the default samplesets.
