because people have a lower pp rank than their score rank, yes.

All the person complaining are just those high rank ones who are sad now cause they don't see anymore themself in the first page

No offence, but it was seriously better the way it was before with the NORMAL ranking system. I think we should have a choice or button to click to have this system or not... :\

In my opinion this update will destroy osu! as it won't be able to catch up with white wolf or cookiezi anymore....
With score it would still have been possible even if it would have taken a long time...

To be honest, I liked the Ranked score system better, because, if this is what I am thinking, most of the people will get pp from a single song (if I am not correct then sorry), but with Ranked score, you MUST get new songs, or try to get 1 or 2k more than previous play. And no, I am not one of the high rank players, I was at #58000+ Just my opinion

And this is just crazy (sorry), but I have been playing like 5 matches today with a few misses, and my original ranks keep going backwards and no score added to my ranked score :\

Everything was working out great, I found this game 1 year ago and I fell in love it was so fun! But now it looks like it's going to get worse.... sorry people but this has ruined my total game play..

Personally, Although my pp rank is lower than my score rank, that doesn't affect me a lot. Since the pp system came out, I started to practice skills more than just use none to FC a map.
Anyway, I understand those people who worked really hard on their score ranks complaining about the new system. Maybe a small demonstration of a score rank on the panel will make everyone happy. (pp rank size big, small score rank)

I totally agree on that. I lost around 1500~ ranks, however, I don't care that much, but I don't see why there shouldn't be the score rank next to the pp rank, a little bit smaller.
Would make people happy to see the effort they put in getting high ranks (through farming, yes, but that's just another way to play, isn't it?) isn't completely forgotten.

There are 4-digit people on the performance ranking on first page and do you guys think they always work hard on score like if I would to being insanely skilled?
Seriously, you didn't have to stomp me in the face my pp rank on osu! interface, my score rank was nicer...

Problem is just that in-game, you can't see a person's score rank unless you open his profile. In-game ranks are easier to show, which makes their score rank"disappear".

I'm not 100% on how PP works but I prefer it to the old way of ranking as I agree that skill is what should be ranked. At the end of the day, I enjoy playing the actual game anyway, not solely making some number higher for the "I'm better than you" factor.

Also, are the osu png banners that show your rank and everything going to be updated to this new scoring system or are they being phased out?
