Hello,
my friend created osu!cleaner like 2 years ago but he stopped playing or doing it occassionally so I thought that we will finally share it with people.

WHAT DOES IT DO
You can select storyboards, video, skins, backgrounds, hitsounds which you want to delete.
Users suffer from Osu! folder being too big so here it is !

PREVIEW

SPOILER
This is my annual cleaning

HOW TO USE
a)Navigate to Osu! folder
b)Select what you wish to delete
c)Hit 'Find'
d)Additional options on the bottom of the app
e)Delete

Files deleted with option ''delete permanently(...)" CAN NOT be retrieved.

Please spread this to your friends, I don't know how to get to a lot of people and I think not everybody got so much space on their computers so it might be really useful for them.

Parent post should be updated in a moment.

Initially I didn't wanted to release this to public, but ok. But, please don't judge code quality, I wrote this 2 years ago trying to learn some C#. Eventually I ended up being a Python dev and now this code for me looks just ugly and breaks some good code practices. At least it works fine (to some extend, I didn't tested this properly)
I don't have time to refactor it to be better, and probably I'd rewrite it to Python :D

You can always contribute to this repo if you want to add some functionality or fix an issue.

You can always group by mode then right click -> delete -> delete all visible beatmaps.

But that will delete your beatmaps permanently. Osu!Cleaner leaves beatmaps playable, deleting unnecessary content.

Thank you for this tool!

Great Idea and stuff but it kinda sucks when you have your songs folder on your D: Drive and can't delete stuff from those songs because it'll tell you that it's not an osu! directory.
At least it worked for the pre-installed beatmaps that were still on my C: drive.

You've probably sorted this out by now, but if you haven't already, try moving the osu app itself into the D: drive. It worked for me

I actually did a rewrite of it on python some time ago, because the original program refused to work in wine properly, feel free to use it if you want.

Rewrite works several times faster and actually deletes .osb storyboard files.

made my 21.5GB folder to 14.1GB (i deleted absolutely everything, even backgrounds). If it seems like the program crashed/is not working, it is working so just let it be for a while (had exactly the same amount of maps before and after)

Edit: However there were still 1GB of undeleted jpg/png/osb files so i had to use cmd afterall..

IF YOU WANT TO DELETE BACKGROUND IMAGES:
just open cmd, type "cd [copy paste your osu songs folder directory]", click enter, and then type "DEL /S /Q *.JPG" click enter and this will delete all jpg files. Do the same for png (just change jpg to png).

You can do the same for any other file types you want such as (avi,flv,mp4) -> video files , and .osb which i think is for backgrounds, although the program deleted most of these.
