Is there a beat-map that even the automated play cannot clear?

You sure there aren't any beat-maps that contain a million things a second (exaggeration) that could end up with the automated system failing?

No I don't think its possible for auto not to pass. However, there are maps that auto cannot SS, as I'm sure you probably know already

Edit: A beatmap that auto wouldn’t be able to complete would probably crash your computer before anything happened, so there’s no point trying

Autoplay can fail. You just need lots of misses to do it. Think sliders occurring at same time and some other gimicks

Yes, it's possible. All it needs is either a gross amount of stuff that auto can't play (Slider gimmicks). Higher HP value and an otherwise dense map helps to kill it faster.
It used to miss on a slider part of one of my older maps.

In older versions, Auto could fail if for some reason, the HP bar drained to 0. Not anymore though.
