As the title says, breakout but in osu, and the ball bounces up and down to the tempo. you have to move a bar-thing (like in osu!catch), to bounce that ball up and down.

Up there will be longer boxes that need to be destroyed (some need more touches with the ball), and some will make you fail.

The slider thing you control will move the ball left or right depending where it lands.

This can make for an interesting concept, but also 10x harder than osu!catch as one mistake making the ball going into the wrong direction has no means for recovery.

actually. there could be a bonus shaped like a heart that would restore lost HP... besides the expand/shrink. more balls. and so on.

If the ball goes into the wrong direction, by the time it comes back to allow you to aim into the correct direction (assuming it doesn't come back where you are pinned to a wall), a couple seconds would have passed. Whatever series of bricks you were supposed to hit is now so screwed. So keeping the bricks in one spot will not work, and they need to be changing spots regularly instead. If you want the gamemode to involve hitting more than one brick per bounce back up, then someone should come up with an algorithm that arranges bricks in a way that allows the ball to be bounced back up to hit them all in one go, it needs to have tolerance.

This is not something that is entirely mappable and brick positions need to be generated instead from mapped note timings.
I have a hard time imagining how it's fun just watching the ball mash through bricks while doing nothing. Imagine this on Big Black. How much player interaction with the objects are we talking about? I am having a hard time coming up with enjoyable game mechanics involving this concept.
