Ladies, gentlemen and weebs that enjoy slamming circles; welcome to Through The Ranks osu! Tournament! This will start on the 16th of March 2018 and should be over by approximately the 22nd of April 2018.
This is a fairly normal team tournament, Team VS, Score V2, double elimination tournament.
An osu!standard tournament that is open to all countries globally.
The maximum number of teams we will accept is unlimited, but we will hold a qualifications stage to decide on the 16 teams that will play in the main tournament.
Teams will be seeded randomly.
There will be a new mappool for almost every round: Round of 16 is a BO7 (first to 4), quarterfinals and semifinals are BO9 (first to 5), finals are BO11 (first to 6) and grand finals are BO13 (first to 7).
We’ll stream everything after RO16. Stream link is provided above.
There's going to be multiple mappools. Qualifications, RO16, Quarters, Semis and Finals get their own pools, therefore 5 mappools.
In FreeMod, at least 2 players have to pick mods from each team. Eligible mods are HD, HR, FL and EZ.
ALL announcements will be made on the Discord server, so we highly advise for you to check frequently for updates happening. EVERYTHING will be posted in the discord, tournament-wise, and nowhere else. Find the link for the server in the important links section above.
We have the option to refuse players who have suspicious account details. Some suspicious accounts may include(s): newly created account with awkwardly high pp growth, weirdly spaced pp plays, and/or accounts with restricted/banned status. We will check player profiles constantly.
All other questions will always refer here as a guide, or ask one of the admins in the Discord server.
This is a pretty normal tournament; the only difference is the composition of the teams.
Each team MUST contain a player from EACH of these rank ranges:
• Tier 1 : #5.000 - #12.000
• Tier 2 : #12.000 - #20.000
• Tier 3 : #20.000 - #30.000
• Tier 4 : #30.000 - #50.000
Each team can have 2 players from each rank range in their team, therefore a maximum of 8 players per team.
In the tournament, there has to be a player from each of the 4 tiers playing at any one time for the team.
For example, you can NOT have your two Tier 1 and your two Tier 2 players play a map. You may, at any one time, only have 1 player from Tier 1, 1 player from Tier 2, 1 player from Tier 3 and 1 player from Tier 4 in the game, playing the map.
That's pretty much the only different thing from a normal tournament.
14th of February - Start of registration
9th of March at 23:00 UTC - End of registration
16th - 18th of March - Qualifications stage (if this isn't needed the entire schedule moves to one week earlier)
23rd - 25th of March - Group Stage week 1
30th of March - 1st of April - Group Stage week 2
6th - 8th of April - Round of 16
13th - 15th of April - Losers round 1 and Quarterfinals
20th - 22nd of April - Losers round 2, losers round 3 and Semifinals
27th - 29th of April - Losers round 4, losers round 5 and Finals
4th - 6th of May - Losers finals and Grand finals
All matches will be played during the weekends or Fridays, so make sure that you’re available.
