add a green timing point by clicking "+" icon on the timing panel -> uncheck "inherit previous timing settings" box on below
If you really have to add a lot of red points, you can do that by pressing Ctrl+P while scrolling through the map normally.
That's a lot faster in the long run than going through the timing menu every time.
