I don't know if someone has already thinked about this (most likely that's the case), but if we already have files for beatmaps and skins (osk, osz), why not create a osu file exclusively to transfer custom settings?
It's useful when we are playing on another PC and we have to change all the settings to feel comfortable with.
This is just a suggestion, I don't have any idea of programming or these things
