Can I first start out by saying that some custom combo colours would be appreciated!
I see your map is also in 1/2, try using 1/4 so you can mix things up and add some spice with 1/4 stuff
00:14:908 (2) - this slider ends on a strong vocal so map it with two circles instead.
00:15:359 (3,4,5,6,7) - this doesnt really fit with the music. For example
00:15:810 (5) - has no vocal on it. Use a 1/2 slider on 4. Same with 7
You have done this throughout the map so you might want to rethink your method of mapping vocals like this.
Straight line linear 1/2 circles can be good in higher bpm songs but for this bpm and song it just seems boring.
Maybe use jumps instead but not too big!
Your patterning is also very inconsistent and informal. you could use a lot more "blankets" which are essentially sliders with the curve being used to fill another note like https://goo.gl/6aMccL
I know your using ds for this but for a hard I think you can turn it off to allow more complex patterns and such. Keep ds for normals and easys
Your whole map seems to just be filling in the 1/2 rhythm with no empathise on specific notes. Therefore I would really advice you gain some more experience with more "intense" songs so you can practice this
I know you are a new mapper and actually this is probably better than my fist go too so kudos there but try looking at other peoples hards and see how they mapped theirs. Jumps are the main thing your map is lacking.
You can empathise a lot of notes by simply spacing them out further or incorporating "awkward" or harder flow into them.
01:56:186 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - stuff like this is just crazy. You dont need to space these so much! Remember to follow the music, also you used 01:09:495 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - this pattern for these sounds before
What this map reminds me of is older 2007 style maps which stick to the grid. Try to be more creative with what your mapping so the players dont get bored hehe
Please dont let this mod put you off mapping as there is so much more to be learnt and your only just starting but really your whole map needs a lot of work.

Maybe.. the main goal is to fill the main instrument(s) and vocals.. I might consider that but, by the amount of sliders I've added, I tried to cover as many notes as possible, using sliders and reverse arrow.. if you can specify how/why my patterns are inconsistent that'd be much helpful ^^ so I have a better idea on what to do and consider really adding extra notes.

I'm not using ds lol but as I mapped/modded some easy/normal I think I got used to it.. idk.. I just went for feeling and I got worried that my map can't be too hard.. but well, might wanna try make it a little harder

Yeah probably.. but that was the main goal at first, focus only on certain notes, the strong sounds, so it'd be more intuitive.. practice is what I need for mapping overall not only intense songs xD but I got it :)

Hey,m4m from my queue.

Hard
I should first mention that rather basing the majority of the through vocals can be very boring to play. its best to switch between different rhythms (which you did but very subtly I think) in a map to make things more interesting for the player.

00:20:547 (7) - This slider should repeat once, the fourth beat lands on nothing.

00:27:765 - ^

00:31:825 (2) - This object is slightly to the left, snap it to the grid to make a perfect square

00:34:983 (7) - The fourth beat does land on a clap but is rather hard to notice. This is when you need to start adding different hitsounds to let the player know which different beats and sounds you're trying to follow with the map. If you're going to attempt to get this ranked, you have to add custom hitsounds.

00:58:442 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Equally space these together, some are further than others and there is know change or pitch in the music asking for different spacing.

01:11:299 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - These feel like they're 2 ticks behind the beat you're following. try something like This.
Try placing sliders that start on a beat rather than ending on them. There is more impact to a map when a player taps the key rather than releasing the key on a beat.

01:20:773 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - I feel like the music is asking for high spaced objects for this section of the song. I know this is only hard difficulty but this seems rather easy to play.

01:22:577 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - ^

01:32:728 (1,2,3,4) - I think these are 2 ticks behind, the sliders are ending on the beat which I think has less impact as explained before. You'll have to try and figure what you want to do here as moving them forward in the timeline mess with 01:34:532 (1)
Maybe try something like this. however this is up to you to decide what you want to do here.

01:39:946 (1,2,3,4,1) - ^

01:43:555 (1) - This curvy slider feels really out of place and random compared to every other slider in the map. Maybe make this one straight like the others. It won't impact the pace or flow of the map.

01:47:164 (1,2,3,4,1) - As mentioned before.

01:56:186 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - This section is nicely mapped. A big change in the music and volume, asking for higher spaced objects and you acted accordingly, and followed the vocals nicely.

02:16:938 (6) - I think this slider should repeat 3 times rather than 4.

02:20:547 (6) - ^

02:39:495 - This is a Really long break and can be considered lazy. At least continue mapping from 02:46:262 - that point onward.

If you want, you can map that whole break section and have a break from here 03:08:367 - and maybe continue mapping from here 03:16:036 - (if that made any sense) Up to you on how you want to map, just don't have 40 second breaks.

03:37:690 - Spinner?

Ayy, from my q (M4M)

General: Are you planning to make a full spread? This map needs an easy and/or normal difficulty if your planning to reach ranked.
Also, you can make your notes quieter at the end as the music fades so that notes don't become too loud (and sound better as well).
Hitsounding is appreciated.
Variety in patterns is also needed. Parts like 02:10:622 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5) can be repetitive since you placed them at the same spots. For rhythm, it's good since you're keeping the rhythm consistent but for patterns, players will feel like you copypasted them.
Hard:
00:16:262 (8) - You should place it at x:160 y:224 so that 00:14:683 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) could form a nice diamond pattern. Don't forget to adjust the next note after that.
00:33:404 (1,2,3,4) - You should just equally space them out. The third circle doesn't have a strong sound to justify unequal spacing. Rather, the fourth note has a clap and I think you could space it away to show emphasis. Repeats with 00:37:013 (3,4,5,6) and 00:38:818 (1,2,3,4).
00:34:983 (7) - This slider should be repeated only once. There's not a strong sound the slider can end on when you make it repeat twice.
00:47:840 (1,2,3,4,5) - These sliders end on stronger sounds. You should make those sounds clickable.
01:03:179 (3) - Move the slider endpoint one up and move the entire slider one to the right so the pattern of 01:02:277 (1,2,3,4,5) looks symmetrical.
01:12:540 (4,6) - There's no sound in the music that these notes represent. You should delete them.
01:23:592 (6) - You need to add a note at the white tick after this. If you listen, there's a sound there.
01:34:983 (2) - I suggest moving this one up so that 01:34:983 (2,3,4,5,6) could form a zigzag pattern.
01:42:201 (2) - Move this down one so that the slider before aligns with it.
01:44:908 (6) - This has a strong sound yet you move it closer to the last circle, move it away to show emphasis better.
01:51:224 (2) - Could move this up once so pattern of the combo looks better.

This map has potential but don't be fully restricted by the grid. GL :)

I'm not going to mod the map note by note because I don't think that would help you really

Foster The People - Don't Stop (Thefatrat remix) (Hard)
    -Disable countdown pls (song setup > design > untick enable count down)

    -First of all, I think that the rhythm that you used needs some major revising, for example 00:14:675 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - This is not constant 1/2 rhythm but you mapped it as such.

    -I think you could work on emphasising things through spacing more as well, try and emphasise stronger notes through spacing changes ect. This would help the map feel less same-y and more fun to play

    -You seem to ignore some of the cool and exciting beats in the map, which, if mapped correctly could add a whole new dimension to your map 00:51:224 (6,1,2,3,4) - Here, for example, 1 is a 1/4 triple with the last beat, the one on the white tick, being the most emphasised. This is not reflected in the map. 2, 3, 4 are all mapped the same way and ignore the massive variation of noises and intensities that occur there. If you used something like SV changes to emphasise the intensity, the map would feel more exciting.

    -01:05:660 (6,1) - Here there a sound that is stronger on the tail then the head, the stronger sounds need to be clickable

    -I also think that you need to use more than one slider shape, in order to mix up the maps aesthetics

    I think a lot of the map is undermapped and some parts are overmapped as well. You need to follow the song more closely


Apply all of what I've said for the whole map, there's a few examples of each case. As of right now, the map feels a bit too expressionless when the song is full of interesting sounds and rhythms. Basically, try and spice things up!

At this section I should keep 1/2 because it's less intense and doesn't have much sounds to cover, some suggestion for this part to clarify your point would be appreciated, but I think I won't change it rn unless others report the same issue.

Yeah, cover all the instruments is kinda hard for me and as a new mapper I tried to avoid using SV changes because I might mess things up but I'll try and see how it goes.. I'll do simple changes like from 1.0x to 1.5 or 0.75 which are basic changes.. you're right.
