Well, I finished Normal and Hard both.... I've also given a shot at an Insane mode, though that has a little less testing than I might have liked. There's the combination of how difficult it is to break it up into sections to test, as well as the fact that I can neither hit a single button fast enough, nor do I actually have the coordination to tap multiple buttons in sinc with each other. Which means that I can't really test the quick targets well, although I THINK they're timed right...

Anyways, I hope I did alright with this. I know, at least, that I'm very pleased with it! Though I'll keep in mind any feedback that's given to me.



Update (around 9pm MST XP): Took some advice from foulcoon, as well as fixed the offset to his suggestion and double-checked the timing of my targets on all difficulty levels (again).


Bump (Oct.3). =3 Oh, and moved around a few of the beats on Insane.

Update (Oct.4): Made changes based on Sinistro's suggestions. In other words, the biggest thing I did was move a lot of beats around. =3

Update (Oct.7): Bump. And used distance snap for a couple spots on Hard and Insane because I couldn't stand how my own spacing had been going there.

Update (Mar.10): Yep. Stepping back from this and working on improving myself has left a lot open to me as I've come back to it and started remapping it. Please focus on Hard2 and Insane2; these are the remapped difficulties. I am still working on a new Normal and Easy. I would especially appreciate timing feedback, especially with the 1/6th beat areas. I have yet to add hitsounds (will do this after finishing the first two difficulties).
Update (Mar.11): Finished up the new Normal for the most part.
Update (Mar.15): Finished the new Easy, made miscellaneous fixes elsewhere. Still haven't worked on sounds.
Update (Mar.21): Various fixes by Cheese's suggestion.

Update (Apr.5): Finished up hitsounds and made a couple very slight adjustments here or there. Ready once again for pending. Feel free to leave some feedback on the sounds (just don't nazi them), as for the most part I wasn't feeling up at top when working with them, although I think I touched everything up nicely in the end. Excess difficulties removed (I still have these though) and the remapped difficulties renamed accordingly.

I think the offset could work better around something like 426.

00:45:83 (1) - Same (too far for a slider to stack imo, although the circle doing the same just a bit later can stay, I believe)

Like the other three difficulties, Insane also has the same spacing issue: closer spacing. You might think it makes it easier, since the player doesn't have to move the mouse far, but actually it can disorient the player into clicking earlier. After showing you examples to fix in the first three difficulties, I'm temporarily leaving the fixing of Insane's spacing to you as a test of sorts ;) You can "cheat" using Distance Snap, if you like. Of course, any overlooked spacing issues will be eventually pointed out ;)

Maybe it has to do with there being a max combo of 136 in easy and 125 in normal? O.o No, I'm not entirely sure how I managed that. This is the most nonsensical thing if I've yet to see. Then again, Wizards in Winter's Impossible shows up before Insane (and even has a lower star rating amazingly enough). I dunno. Maybe I'll jack something up to attemp to fix that?

00:17:85 (4,5,6,7) - spacing <- Haha, I noticed this last night. XD I wish I remembered what I did to screw-and-not-save it.
00:45:83 (5) - spacing <- Took notice of this, too. Why the heck didn't I save my screwing? XD
01:27:18 (4,5) - spacing <- 5 appears after you've hit 4? (nonetheless, moved a bit here too)

01:15:02 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11) - spacing <- Back to cheating with DS? XD (I have issues with trying to space this area lol)


Aaanyways. Made some adjustments and reuploaded. And, yeah, one of my first (first couple tries wasn't even able to get any sort of timing). Anyways, anything else that needs to be fixed, I'll make adjustments for.

timing sounds ok, but whenever i try to play it, it feels really off... ask another mod for confirmation of timing..

one thing. its a cyclone exclusive map.

hard:

01:15:02 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11) - i dont like this, even on insane. but whatever.

nomal and easy:
none i guess, i just ignored some minor stuffs..

imo tickrate 2 sounds better and i love Raine <3

01:10:76 (1,2,3,4) - Something's always bugged me about this from the previous slider, so I've nudged it over just a touch. Actually, made slight adjustments with the sliders after here as well.

01:15:02 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11) - i dont like this, even on insane. but whatever.
I know, even I find it a bit awkward. Made adjustments here a couple times on both difficulties though I think the biggest part is just how the timing is here lol.

And it IS at a tick rate of 2? Oh. Easy and Normal. Changed. Though I have recently found myself with having something about the tick rate on Hard and Insane, since I've been using the Elite Beat Osu skin and the ticks are so much more noticeable lol. I still agree that the tick rate of 2 sounds better though all around.

its fine, i just dont like following the whole thing. i rather put some 1/1 circles and/or sliders in that part if i were to map it. just a personal preference.

Once upon a time, a mapper was up rather late. She was bored, but just a tad too tired to play anything. So, to keep herself occupied, she set Otto, the osu! automatic map player, to play her maps for her own enjoyment. She then took notice that some of her spacing on one of her maps could have better than it was. Actually, she felt that the whole map could do with some work. So she went to bed that night so that she could rest up in preparation to work the next morning. Once The Sun Rises the next morning, she set herself to work to improve her beatmap as best as she possibly could.

And that's how my big changes to spacing, and even beatmap structure on this, came to be. Anyone willing to check/recheck this, I'd appreciate it.

There are...some points like 01:15:02 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11) in Hard where the snapping of notes sounds strange. I tried fiddling around, but those guitar notes are kind of echoey and I got confused. I'd like another bat to check for things that need nudging, in divisors like 1/6 and 1/8 possibly even.

Maaan, this song is hard to map. Nice work, though, you did it justice. A lot of the time all you can really do is approximate the guitar while keeping everything playable. Or at least I modded under that assumption.

[All difficulties]
Hitsounds? I think I heard a few here and there, but it felt pretty lacking.

[Easy2]
01:03:66 (1) - This spinner seems a bit close to the next note.
01:07:31 (2,1,2,3,4) - I'm not too fond of the mapping here. It's trying too hard to sync up with the difficult-to-follow guitar part, and it ends up with a lot of oddly timed notes as a result. For an Easy, it might be better to map a bit more plainly in terms of timing.

[Normal2]
01:06:91 (2,3,4) - This doesn't feel like it syncs up with anything. Or at least, not anything it should be syncing up with.
01:13:39 (5) - For clarity's sake, how about moving this back 1/4 and adding another repeat?
01:17:72 (1) - Sounds like it comes in late, though I don't really know how you'd fix it.

[Hard2]
01:22:04 (4) - Move back 1/6 and shorten 1/6?
01:30:73 (1) - I don't like how this slider starts on a 1/4 like this. Sounds fine, plays awkward.

[Insane2]
00:36:70 (7,8) - This jump seems a little out of place. Remove it or add more like it.
00:49:07 (1) - Add another hitcircle where this spinner begins, and move the spinner back accordingly. The sequence before it just doesn't sound complete.
01:22:92 (5) - Move back 1/6 and respace accordingly.

Actually, the drum gets quite a bit of focus as well, especially in the harder difficulties. :P It's probably the biggest difference between my original mapping of this and the new mapping. I can pick out quite a bit now which I couldn't back then.

As for hitsounds, I haven't put them in yet, though there's a few stray sounds that were added probably because I figured I'd miss them later on.

Easy: Not sure what I can do about that spinner but take it out, though I really like it there. :P I was also trying really hard to keep it simple with the part at 1:07, though it was tough. I'll change it to map more to the drums (yay picking out stuff I couldn't long ago).

About hard: You mean the one that's like some of the others through the map? XD

Anyways, made some adjustments, will get to adding hitsounds... Well, sometime. That's pretty much the only reason this is still bound to help lol.
