Set osu! language to system/country language by default

This is a feature request. Feature requests can be voted up by supporters.

Example: If your system language (or country via geoip) is set to spanish, when osu! starts your language in osu! will be set to spanish and you automatically join #spanish instead of #osu

For countries that speak multiple languages (like the US), set it to the most spoken language (I don't think a majority of people in India speak english) or have a menu asking for it.

This can be useful for moderators/community helpers so they don't have to write #<language here> or !faq <language here> every time someone starts speaking a different language in #osu

writing is good tho

and that thread is a bit old so I don't think someone would appreciate a 7 year old thread being bumped

That thread is specifically for channels while this thread includes the game client's language too.
We can leave it for now.


You're allowed to bump old requests as long as the content of your post is reasonable. ;)

Having the client start at the system's language (at least the first time it's opened) would be an excellent idea.
