Every time I open up my osu! client, my disk space instantly fills to 100% and I can't do anything with my computer unless I click "End task" on osu. I've tried just about everything in "repair osu!" but nothing there seems to work. Also, I had made no recent changes to anything on my computer.

I don't know if this is a common problem, but I couldn't find any solutions to it no matter how much searching I did.

The error I get is always the same in the event viewer: "The program osu!.exe version 1.3.3.7 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel."

osu! version: 20170616.1 (latest)

Launch Repair Dialog
  1. Hold down the Shift key on your keyboard.
  2. While holding Shift, double click the osu! icon on your desktop.
  3. Continue holding Shift until you see the recovery dialog prompt.
  4. From there, click on the "Repair osu!" option

Your disk space fills 100% instantly?

Oh sorry, didn't get to read that.
But what you said about the disk filling up might be a corrupted drive
Try running cmd and doing a dskchk to your drive.
Or try moving the whole osu! folder to another location.

Lets stick with moving the osu! folder elsewhere. First we need information before assuming faulty hardware.
I'm guessing osu! is in your C drive and that drive is completely full?

No, the C drive isn't even close to full, and yes, it fills after a few seconds of me trying to open the game

Try redownloading osu! and running it fresh off the box. Does it still happen?

I made a backup folder for all of my songs/skins and then reinstalled osu and added them back. Everything seems to be working fine now, thanks for helping me!

Alright, good to hear! As a precaution, you should check your drive's health with programs like CrystalDiskInfo.
