Asking Creators/Mixing

so...if i originally asked the creator of one skin if i can use some objects of it? would it still count as stealing?, but if it isn't do i call it a "mixed" skin because some skins are called mixed skins and it confuses me, can i get some help at this? im kinda brand new to this skinning process :o

If you ask the skinner to use parts of the skin and mixed it with yours, and he/she agreed, it's allowed and not stealing. Your skin remains yours, you have the rights of it except the parts of the skin you borrowed from someone else. It's their rights for those parts.
