Problem Details:
This isn't nessisarly a problem, just something I have been wondering, i have been playing osu for like 5-6 months now and playing 4-5* but no matter what i always fail to get 1-3x or a couple slider breaks, and they don't even seem like they should happen, how could i maybe fix this. Thanks

turn off mouse acceleration for mouse
turn on forced proportions for tablet

Be sure you're hitting every single note. I'm having issues with this currently because my index finger will fan and not hit the key. Paying attention to each note helps, because if you skim over a note then your chances of missing will go up.

If it's uncomfortable playing with your area/sensitivity then change it to your personal preference.

play more doesn't work if you're playing with a bad habit

Basicaly, try following each note directly with your eyes, instead of periferal vision and also try cursor snapping instead of flow.
And try to play low AR it helps learn reading so you don't have much shitmisses
