Heya! I looked over your beatmap!

TBH, everything looks fine to me! All you really have to do is separate the notes! If you have "Distance Snap" on, turn it off, then you can move notes more freely!

00:03:126 (8) - because this is an insane difficulty, you don't need to put this close to the stream, move it a bit away

00:08:316 (4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - object placement a bit messy in here, try to toggle distance snap by holding alt while trying to place the object, same goes for the part like this
00:18:987 (3,4) - 4 is a strong beat, you need to emphasize it by making a bigger jump than other part, same goes for beats like this
00:21:005 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - same as before, it doesn't look good when putting object next to each other in insane difficulty, try to make little jumps
00:43:211 (1,2,3,4) - there's a 6 1/4 beats, or i can say 3 doubles. i suggest to change it like this. There's another section like this too

00:59:937 (1,2,3,4) - make it look cleaner, same as the other jump

Your spacing is VERY inconsistent. Most of the time its not aligned properly and it looks bad. Sometimes its not readable as well.

Some of the vocals fit to 1/3 spacing, yet you use 1/4 for them, and it doesn't represent any sound then.

You probably can fit more hitsounds but it shouldn't be your priority, your mapset needs a lot of polish.

[Easy]

According to guidelines, you shouldn't break time/distance, try using distance snap.

02:16:071 (1,1) - There should be a 4 beat gap between spinner and the next click.

03:07:403 (3) - Almost offscreen for 4:3 users

[Normal]

Same thing with easy. Although its less strict.

01:14:357 (1,2) - I'd make the slider 1/4 longer and move the next circle to the next red tick. Same thing with others, but thats up to you.

Those two sounds are very similar so they should be mapped the same way and with the same slider. at least in lower diffs
00:02:837 (5,7) - These should probably be the same, length wise and visually for the same reason above

00:25:908 (6) - Sliders with more than 1 reverse arrow are pretty confusing, especially for new players that will play this diff. If you want a slider with a reverse in a low difficulty map, probably want to keep the number of reverses = 1

01:52:423 (3,4) - Don't like the flow here. When a player plays (3) The cursor will tend to move in the direction the end of the slider is, but the next object instead of going where it feels natural breaks the flow and goes down, not where the slider is pointing to, feels weird.

You can apply this to almost every part of the map, I feel it would be pointless to name of every single one though.

hi from q

since youre a new mapper it would be better to give you general advice on what to do and what not to do, using examples from your map:

(keep in mind that these apply through the whole map so it would be wise for you to find and fix them)

[ insane]
  1. 00:01:108 (2,1) - avoid unjustified overlaps (ie ones that arent part of a pattern, concept or gimmick) - they look ugly to most players. a way to solve overlap problems is to stack objects when possible instead of overlapping them - for example, here you can move 00:01:976 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - so 1 is stacked on the head of 00:01:108 (2) -
  2. 00:02:843 (7,8) - unless it's the concept behind the map, avoid using uncomfortable flow unless it's for emphasis. here for example the flow is uncomfortable since players move towards sliders in fluid motions, and this placement forces snappy movement to the slider. this gives the slider extra emphasis which imo it doesnt need.
  3. 00:03:132 (8) - you may have heard this before, but avoid ending sliders on stronger sounds than they start. in this case the blue tick that the slider ends on is stronger than the red tick that it starts on, so this is an example of bad slider usage. (00:10:795 (2) - for another example)
  4. 00:05:157 (1,2,3,4) - these sliders would look neater if they were tilted at consistently the same angle (example) or consistently tilted by the same angle each repetition (example). this is because players find patterns neater and more pleasing when they are repeated in a consistent way. this doesnt just apply to aesthetics, this applies to rhythm choice and emphasis too. (00:08:337 (4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5) - example of inconsistent rhythm - the vocals are exactly the same but theyre mapped very differently)
  5. 00:07:470 (3) - heads up, most players don't like long-ish repeating sliders with more than 1 reverse arrow
  6. that stuff aside, i feel that the main problem in your map would have to be visuals. in truth, your map needs to improve a lot in this department since it's really hard to find any visual patterns in it aside from the fact that the objects are vaguely distance-snapped. in order to create pleasing visual patterns, i recommend arranging objects in shapes, symmetrical patterns (especially the first 3 kinds of symmetry here), or parallel lines whenever possible. in short, make every object part of a pattern that you feel complements the song (eg calm songs would have more pleasing patterns while chaotic songs would have less structured patterns) - give it as much reasons to stay in its current position as possible.
the problem i have mostly in your map would have to be inconsistent visuals and rhythm (as discussed above), so i strongly suggest going through the entire map fixing and rearranging stuff

  1. 00:01:108 (2,1) - avoid unjustified overlaps (ie ones that arent part of a pattern, concept or gimmick) - they look ugly to most players. a way to solve overlap problems is to stack objects when possible instead of overlapping them - for example, here you can move 00:01:976 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - so 1 is stacked on the head of 00:01:108 (2) - Not sure that I understood it exactly, but there are 7 beats.. so I don't think I should stack them... but I"ll stack if it looks better to other overlapped ones.
  2. 00:02:843 (7,8) - unless it's the concept behind the map, avoid using uncomfortable flow unless it's for emphasis. here for example the flow is uncomfortable since players move towards sliders in fluid motions, and this placement forces snappy movement to the slider. this gives the slider extra emphasis which imo it doesnt need. -Yep I knew my map flow is very uncomfortable, but I don;t have a clue to fix it :(
  3. 00:03:132 (8) - you may have heard this before, but avoid ending sliders on stronger sounds than they start. in this case the blue tick that the slider ends on is stronger than the red tick that it starts on, so this is an example of bad slider usage. (00:10:795 (2) - for another example) I'll fix it, now I know what is the strong beat :) Thanks
  4. 00:05:157 (1,2,3,4) - these sliders would look neater if they were tilted at consistently the same angle (example) or consistently tilted by the same angle each repetition (example). this is because players find patterns neater and more pleasing when they are repeated in a consistent way. this doesnt just apply to aesthetics, this applies to rhythm choice and emphasis too. (00:08:337 (4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5) - example of inconsistent rhythm - the vocals are exactly the same but theyre mapped very differently) Okay, I should make the same pattern when the part is the same
  5. 00:07:470 (3) - heads up, most players don't like long-ish repeating sliders with more than 1 reverse arrow Fixed!
  6. that stuff aside, i feel that the main problem in your map would have to be visuals. in truth, your map needs to improve a lot in this department since it's really hard to find any visual patterns in it aside from the fact that the objects are vaguely distance-snapped. in order to create pleasing visual patterns, i recommend arranging objects in shapes, symmetrical patterns (especially the first 3 kinds of symmetry here), or parallel lines whenever possible. in short, make every object part of a pattern that you feel complements the song (eg calm songs would have more pleasing patterns while chaotic songs would have less structured patterns) - give it as much reasons to stay in its current position as possible.
Yep... I knew my map is very bad in visuals, but I don't even have a clue to make it better. I'll try to make it better, but I can't assure that the visuals will be better than before.

the problem i have mostly in your map would have to be inconsistent visuals and rhythm (as discussed above), so i strongly suggest going through the entire map fixing and rearranging stuff

Actually what I found generally from this map is an uncosistent note. As an example from the Hard diff, 00:00:530 (1,2,3,4,5) - and 00:05:157 (1,2,3,4) - have the different patterns and ways to emphasize the lyrics, so they should have the same pattern. Why? So the player can recognize the pattern and plays the map consistently.
I'm sorry for this short mod.

i´ll recommend you to focus more on structure and especially concepts. Since this is just a lightmod and you seem to be relatively new to mapping you will get some help in terms of learning how to map.

Pishifat Youtube watch some of his vids, he is good at teaching mapping related stuff.

I especially recommend you to look at "spacing emphasis" and "asthestic"

But since im still here to help you i´ll give you some aspects/points in your map that i´ll consider you to recheck and try to redo better

00:50:552 (4,5,6,1,2) - doesn´t look to nice, something that you could do is.
1st: do a slider 2nd: ctrl + shift + f so you get the pop up window for slider to stream creation. Now you choose a fitting "distance snap" for example 0,9x and press OK
it should look like this
Since you do those triple sliders quite often, ill give you some tricks on that too
1st: make a basic CURVED slider like this for example 2nd: now you copy and paste the slider with ctrl + c and ctrl + v it should look like this. 3rd: you rotated the new slider by 120° with ctrl + shift + r (choose under origin "selection centre")
4th: repeat step 2 and 3
5th: readjust the sliders and you got this
dont worry, you will get used to those things aswell, if you didnt know about those short cuts i´ll recommend you "the editor" video by pishifat aswell
