Hello, I understand there might be other posts about this, however, I haven't had much luck on finding something that really answers my question.

When I play some of the mid to higher level 4* maps in the 4k tier I basically fail at every burst stream that comes my way. I will extensively practice the maps on half time to try and learn the pattern. When I do I feel the rhythm and the flow of the pattern, however, when I play the map at full speed it doesn't flow anymore. it feels choppy and my fingers don't exactly know what to do and I end up failing. I will watch the pro players and they seem to easily follow the flow of the map and I'm not sure exactly what they do differently or what they learned in their many years of experience.

The maps I really feel this on are...

16 Bit warz (my fingers will kind of freeze and play the map in a really choppy way)

m.a.m.a. (I can't do the burst at the very end, I don't know if I'm doing it too fast or too slow)

here are three that aren't in the 4* star tier that i play for fun on HT and can't even do the burst streams with HT

Planet shaper

i can fly in the universe

gengaozo

The list goes on and on, however, I'm not at all shaming the people who made these maps because they are all amazing. I'm just asking for help on how to clear them because I've been working on them for months and can't clear them without mods.

Thank you for all of your input and if you read this.

Sorry, but It's just a matter of playtime. You should play maps around your area of comfort (94%+, you can play harder maps that you can only 93% or even lower but I don't recommand it personally, unless you know why you are having a low score), and keep playing them. You can't start to play maps that fast right now, just be patient, and anjoy the game.

You are also playing some of the most underrated 4* maps out there.

Besides the usual "play more" (which is 100% true tho, dont get me wrong on that one) you can check your offsets and hitposition (in the skin.ini from your skin folder for the last one) and adjust properly. You can check options to set up a judgement bar behind your playground so you can see if you are hitting to late or too early.

I have a similar problem to this but more with low 5* maps. If I play stuff mid 4* I can generally get pretty good ACC unless it's weird SV maps. ACC to a point where it looks to people that I need to play harder stuff as I am getting like 97%+ ACC. But the problem is I just go slightly harder I start failing maps left and right. I've done some of those finger speed tests and supposedly that's not my problem but I just feel like I can't keep up with the patterns and get off rythmn and fail out during long fast sections. I feel like I end up mashing the keyboard and sometimes get lucky and pass the section but usually not. Like this song I have gotten an S rank ACC while failing out at the end like a dozen times now.

Those 4* maps you listed are closer to the 5* range. As juankristal said, one if the most underated. Don't be upset if you can't play those and can play the rest of the 4* maps.

imo HT doesnt help you learn shit and you should only do it when desperate

That's completely retarded and believing downrates don't help you is what keeps you trapped being shit at 4k.

Unless you're playing Osu ranked only in which case who cares because it's the lowest quality charting.

I was in that same position a year ago, but I didn't do anything special to be honest.
I just played more, enjoyed the game and gradually became faster till the point I can clear it with ease.
