[Archived] Few questions about patterns

Is it easier to look up patterns and memorize them, or just to play and learn them that way, because im stuck at 4*(Cant even beat 4.06) while I know star rating isnt all THAT accurate, It still seems like Ive made no progress in my last 5 or 6 hours of gameplay. Also, anyone who may be seeing this, how long did it take you to learn the patterns to play 4* with ease?

This is a question that belongs in G&R, this forum is for technical issues and bugs.

As for your question, it is a valuable skill to be able to sight read. However, that first means getting comfortable with certain patterns, and then eventually getting good enough to recognize them early and complete them without having seen that particular map. The 4 star range was definitely the most difficult jump for me. Going from 3 star, where there are no streams and easier patterns to 4 star takes a lot of time. Definitely more than 5 hours.
