Image

lots of unsnapped things in AIMod

why is your name in the SB smaller after kalibe's part LOL
speaking of which, it kinda fades out too early at the end, it's already off the screen before hitting the last note

Sotarks

00:32:671 (1) - missing hitsound on head, you applied it for 00:29:990 (1) - and 00:31:331 (1) -
02:00:493 (3,4) - missing hitsounds here too since you placed a normal hit on 01:59:990 (1) - and those 3 sliders have the same intensity
02:01:163 (1,1) - missing hitsounds here aswell, same reasoning as 00:32:671 (1) -
02:03:677 (6) - why is this a different slider from 02:03:342 (4,5,7) - ? feels out of place since they're all similar
02:03:342 (4,5,6,7) - this pattern feels weird because the pitch is going up yet your spacing is going down, consider making the spacing increase instead since the song gets more intense
03:17:085 (5,7) - 03:18:761 (7) - and so on - i guess these could be spaced out further since the piano is really intense here
03:44:570 (5) - missing NC since you've been NCing the last few downbeats, or remove nc on 03:41:889 (1) - to nc every 2 downbeats
04:09:375 (9) - you could turn this into a 1/4 slider since it sounds like the next pattern actually starts on that note
04:30:660 (8,9,10,5,6,7) - pls stack those they're so close to each other
04:51:945 (2) - a whistle could sound nice here

Kalibe

02:27:476 (1) - why is this NC'd? the previous combo is really short and there isn't any significant sound on this slider to justify switching it here
02:36:861 (3) - could you make this the same slider as 02:37:364 (5) - to make your pattern a bit neater?

nice map!! gl

  • fix the .mp3 file lo. It's not 192 kbps yet
  • I assume you got your metadata right
  • something really really wrong with the timing I think. Probably you need to do another check
  • fyi I re-downloaded the map in-case I did wrong but it seems I'm probably right

Sotarks
  • 00:04:180 (5) - should be 2 circles so that its consistent with the rest of the section
  • 00:25:968 (6) - would be nice to make this parallel to (7) and then ctrl+h to make it better visually
  • 01:04:012 (2) - sliderend could have a normal sampleset, sounds better to have one imo
  • 01:47:588 (12) - barely overlaps (1) making it look awkward, so maybe move it a bit further away
  • 03:45:743 (11,1) - better to make this a 1/1 slider to emphasize the finish that occurs on (11)
  • 04:26:135 (1) - put this somewhere like x:344 y:16 so that it flows to the slider better?
  • 04:51:107 (6,1) - make these parallel too for same reason as the other one

Kalibe
  • 02:09:711 (2) - delete clap from the sliderend? it shouldnt be emphasized like that imo
  • 02:24:459 (2) - this sliderend could have a normal sampleset like (3) does

wow could barely find anything of substance, its an amazing map tbh :)

Hi M4M

Sotarks
  • 00:02:839 (2,3) - Feel like these 2 circles would be better as kick sliders to follow the instrument and percussion better and just would overall be a nice build up toward the more intense part. If not both than at least 00:03:007 (3) - for sure
  • 00:12:392 (4,5) - Distance here should be increased to be larger than 00:11:722 (2,3) - because (5) is noticeably much more important than (3). Preferably also smaller than 00:13:063 (6,7) - so it makes a spacing progress toward the higher sounds. Another solution would just be to decrease the spacing at 00:11:722 (2,3) - which would be easier
  • 00:17:252 (1) - Probably better as 2 stacked (or not) circles cuz there are 2 distinct vocals whereas 00:17:588 (2) - only has 1. That would differentiate them better and also mostly just feels better to click all of them.
  • 00:24:124 (5,6) - These would also be great as kick sliders to because there are beats on the blue tick it would also emphasize them as they are different/stronger sounds than the others in the pattern. Here's a pattern suggestion without changing the placements https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7848051
  • 00:32:671 (1) - Pls add a normal hitfinish here it would justify the fact that you skipped over a vocal which I understand is to emphasize the offbeat so yeah.
  • 00:35:688 (9) - Maybe add a circle here ? your choice but I feel like it's better to start on a beat than right on the vocal and the gap between that and the last circle feels like a bit much
  • 00:49:515 (3) - Feel like this should be mapped either by adding a circle or covering it with a 3/4 slider
  • 01:34:180 (5,1) - This movement is pretty awkward I'd highly recommend to ctrl+g 01:33:677 (3) - and then 01:34:012 (4,5) - That would create more emphasis on 01:33:677 (3) - which is mre important than 01:33:007 (1) -, be more comfortable and also create more distance on the downbeat which is the beginning of a new section
  • 01:47:085 (9,10) - better off stacking these it's better for the vocals and to make them distinct from the others cuz they are on 2 sane beats and it would also emphasize 01:47:420 (11,12) - even more
  • 03:26:303 (4,5,6) - Equal out the spacing a bit better
  • 03:28:314 (1) - Definitely make this a kick slider the sound should be emphasized and the music supports that imo

Kalibe
  • 02:25:130 (4,5) - Although I get the feel behind the offbeat slider, the downbeat here seems too important to ignore and should be clickable cuz it has both vocal an percussion
  • 02:37:197 (4,5) - I know vocals aren't your main focus in this section but It'd be nice to increase the spacing with the previous slider here as they do get pretty high
  • Other than that it's a nice little section xD

Alright fun map and GL !

Right
Check! - Means it's been checked and nothing wrong has been found
Red - Indicates that an DQ worthy/Unrankable issue has been found

General
  • Unsnapped objects - Be careful haha and make sure you fix all of these or you'll have a repeat of this xd
  • Mp3 Bitrate - Judging by previous mods you already know about the mp3 bitrate, none of them actually gave you a fixed ver of it so here you are fixed to a constant 192kbp/s enjoy ^^
  • OD9? imo that's a serious overkill for this sort of map, i'd say change it to 8.8 or 8.7 even, would fit the map better imo, since OD9 will require high accuracy to go with the song and the song isn't as hard making it a bit easier would be more appealing to the players tbh, especially for the HDHR players. Speaking about settings you could also raise AR to like 9.4 x) would fit the fast techniques used here with a lot of 1/4 rhythms, 9.2 feels too clatered.
  • Why is your name different size in the end in the Storyboard, feels kinda odd lol. Here i've fixed it for you in the .osb file, just overwrite the current .osb and there won't be as much difference as there is now, I've also changed Kalibe's text too so that it is more appealing to the eye when fading in or out with the sizes since Kalibe's size was different too

Timing
  • Your timing should actually be at a offset of -839 , (839 also since it's a bit early currently) rather than the current one to account for the music correctly. Your current timing state makes the downbeat of every measure happen at a red tick whilst it should be at a white tick, this doesn't affect your map in a big scale anyway, just change the timing offset first in the timing panel then highlight all the green lines (easiest way to do so is to ctrl + a and deselect the inherited timing line) and move everything by + 10 (some lines appear to be unsnapped anyway and idk why that is, it's probably because they were +-1ms unsnapped anyway xd)

Melancholy
    Sotarks
  • 00:04:515 (1) - the overlap here isn't really done consistently and just appears to feel randomly done tbh with you, the next similar overlap usage can be seen here 00:05:521 (5) - but it's much more spread out and much more consistent with everything else I strongly suggest you change that overlap to the one i linked here or just to stack it since that's what you do across the mapset too.
  • 00:07:029 (7,1) - this is where the music reaches it's peek in intensity, yet you decided to do the opposite thing and make it smaller spacing dus reducing it's feedback to the player and making it seem familiar to any other jump pattern without a lot of music to go with it. I recommend you work around this pattern so that 00:07:197 (1) - gets it's correct emphasis and to make it look less random.
  • 00:22:783 (4,5,6) - this is where a strong section of the music happens, i.e. the background sounds that you emphasised here 00:24:124 (5,6,7) - are getting simply ignored and put on much lower spacing, the vocals imo are too weak at this point to dominate over those sounds.
  • 00:26:973 (9,1) - fix your blankets x)
  • 00:30:828 (4,5,6) - this is where the music again gets strong sounds happening yet you only chose to emphasise one of those, I recommend you change this pattern to this, this is a simple 20 second pattern re-arange which will give emphasis to the correct beats all along.
  • 00:44:906 (1,2) - You could decrease the SV of these sliders to 0.84x to account for the slowed down vocals and making it much more noticable :o
  • 00:46:079 (1) - Imo every slider on the downbeat you could increase the SV a little bit to account for the strong instruments at that point in time, since making it the same speed at all times during the kiai kinda makes it not noticable at all :/, the sldiers i mean is this one 00:48:761 (1) - and 00:51:442 (1) - you get the idea. This is just something i like to do maybe you'll like the idea.
  • 00:47:420 (5) - you could NC this to account for the strong vocal change and avoid double digit combo counters.
  • 00:50:102 (5) - Same here you could NC this
  • 01:00:828 (7) - Same here, take a closer look at your comobo counters since although you're trying to make them follow the vocals at some points they just don't fit at all, like here 00:59:487 (1) - to 01:02:001 (13) - there is a strong noticable difference at 01:00:828 (7) - which should be on it's own rather than connected to some sort of vocals that change pitch all the time.
  • 01:03:174 (4) - you could place this note at x:366 y:180 so that then 01:03:342 (5) - would get a spacing boost onto 01:03:509 (1) - which would emphasise the stronger vocals on (5) in return giving better feedback, since atm it feels rather the same.
  • 01:04:683 (6,7) - you always emphasise the vocals by making them higher spaced than usual, here you're kinda going against that logic, why not make this spaced as well the vocals are very strong and stand out a lot to be made into a jump ;w;
  • 01:06:861 (8,9) - you could ctrl+g these for better flow imo
  • 01:18:090 (8) - i recommend you move this note to x:393 y:147 since there isn't really much there, and just because there is a clap on it doesn't really mean it should be as spaced as it is now. Moving that note though will allow you to move the (9) to x:330 y:322 which will return in strong emphasis on the vocal and the downbeat on 01:18:426 (1) - which will fit much better, since now it just feels the same at all points during jumps like these. To be honest with you i suggest you to look at patterns similar to these and really look at how they are formed and in what way did you try to justify placing jumps on them, right now it seems rather random and not really thought out, all of those things i mentioned above relating to spacing kinda shows that. Sometimes it's well justified like here 01:22:280 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - but sometimes it isn't like here 01:06:526 (6,7,8,9) -
  • 01:28:733 (6,7) - except of these 2 circles i would recommend you changing this to this which in return will give you a differnt representation of the same sound 3 times, since here for exmaple you have 01:27:979 (2,3) - slider to slider 1/4 and here you have 01:28:398 (4,5) - 1/4 note to slider so to make a new pattern again you could have a 1/4 repeat slider which would also lead into the next section more smoothly and make it more unique.
  • 01:34:012 (4,5) - i recommend you ctrl+g this for better flow and emphasis onto 01:34:347 (1) -
  • 01:43:901 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - this feels kinda random just placing jumps here, there are no vocals, background sounds aren't on every one of those notes 01:44:236 (3,4,5) - only on these 3 there is something and if so you only placed jumps on stronger vocals and not on sounds like this so respectively only those 2 should have jumps towards them 01:44:738 (6,7) - and even if you should change the direction of the jumps anyhow to account for that, since them moving in the same direction kinda kills the point your try to make
  • 01:47:420 (11) - you could NC this to account for the stronger vocal change
  • 02:05:185 (5) - this still has a strong kick to it placing it so close to the previous note just for a stack isn't a good idea imo, you could do something like this this which will give (5) some sort of meaning still and won't kill of the intensity you were building till this moment, i've also hl'ed the sldier at 02:04:012 (1) - to show that you have to rotate it by 10* to make this structure work.
  • 02:57:979 (4) - since these jumps seem rather familiar in terms of 1/2 snapping, NC'ing this will show that something here isn't the same as the previous sections and therefore players woudn't think this is as intense and it's slowed down
  • 03:27:308 (2,3,4,5,6,7) - imo you should make these gradually increase rather than instantly get high, since that's what the guitar is doing. Imo would fit better and be much more appriciated by the player considering the previous section wasn't spaced high at all at most points so a drastic change like that would be very unexpected.
  • 03:45:743 (11) - this note has a very strong sound, woudn't it be more consitent and better in relation to the music to start a slider there instead of 03:45:911 (1) - , sometihng like this rhythm would fit much better and be more consistent with your previous patterns similar to this rhythm as well.

    Kalibe
  • 02:10:213 (4,5) - you could ctrl+g this to give 02:10:549 (6) - a better emphasis imo
  • 02:12:392 (2,3,4,5,6) - if during these jumps your emphasising the strong backlash of the vocals wouldn't you make 02:12:895 (5,6) - spacing much smaller to account to that as well since the vocals stop being so strong after 02:12:727 (4) - it doesn't really fit since if that was the case it would have been fine but now it just seems like you're just placing jumps.
  • 02:14:068 (4,5) - same here ^
  • 02:21:275 (8) - you could NC this to account for the vocal and music change on this slider
  • 02:25:297 (5) - you're missing a strong vocal in the middle of this slider, it kind of doesn't fit overall since you emphasise a lot of the vocals beforehand, changing this to a normal 1/2 rhythm would be a better option imo, and since there is a lot of vocals in this part of the song this woudn't be a bad idea to make a smaller spaced jump section to show that the vocals are here, or just make the slider a 1/2 repeat slider
  • 02:29:655 (2) - imo you should start the NC here instead rather than here 02:29:320 (1) - since in that way it will be much more readable that there is a 1/1 gap between the objects, leaving it at the same combo count will be mistaken as just a normal 1/2 click

Sotarks
00:09:040 (2,4,5,6) - Not perfectly aligned
00:17:252 (1) - Convert to notes as you were focusing mainly on vocals during this small calm part.
00:16:582 (8,1) - Switch NC as the major beat is on the off beat anyways
00:35:353 (8,1) - ^
00:49:766 (4,5,6,7,8) - Maybe try and form a star?
01:15:744 (1,2) - Awkward flow break. Move 01:15:744 (1) - to x173 y33
04:27:308 (5) - The 2 ends aren't proportional to each other

Kalibe
02:25:465 - Would be nice if you mapped the vocal beat as you've been focusing mostly on vocals during the kiai. The slider just doesnt fit in there as the major beat is on the white tick and not the off beat.
