just randomly looking at pending maps and found a neat storyboard. just a few things about it:

General
  1. 00:26:313 - might just be me but the pink heart eyes here seem strangly "off". the heart on her left eye is touching the outline which give them a "sticker" look to it. making that heart smaller and possibly warp it for perspective would make it look better imo https://i.imgur.com/fSsoriP.png
  2. would it be too much to ask to change how the lanterns flicker? right now it's strobing and kinda hurts on the eyes. from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwrwQL9jaYE&t=19s the lanterns flame change in size and the flickering is not as intense.

If you watch with cinema mode, it will behave like the video. Blame to osu forcing decrease alpha blend value during many cases.

ok I looked again at specifically the storyboard:

the sb load can be decreased by a substantial amount if you incorporate those background elements like the clouds and such into the background itself. this is if you scale up the background images to fit the correct dimensions.

yes, you would be decreasing the total filesize the way you are doing it, but I think people would care more for frames per second than hard drive space x)
