  1. The "Who... Is she?" diff has suppressed sounds/sliders at the end, whereas in the Easy diff, they're not. Please make these the same/equalize both diffs to have sound suppression at the end :c
  2. BG is 700x599, which is different from the recommended 1024x768 ;-;
  3. Easy diff doesn't have the same tags as "Who... Is she?"/Normal diff; add Normal diff's tags to Easy's.

Thank you sm for the mod! It got me to actually fix the dumb spacing in my easy diff since i was putting it off for so long.

  1. ok there is only one thing I find a problem in the map, and it is the spacing. easy diffs need consistent spacing, and some parts (00:19:155 (1,2,3,1) - 00:33:555 (2,3,1) - 00:44:755 (1,2,3,1,2)) you made much larger than 0.8x which is what you used mostly. that's all with the easy diff though

  1. 00:41:555 (3,4) - why is the spacing so low between these 2 notes?
  2. 00:14:155 (2,1) - the claps in this diff don't sound very good imo. what I would do is put a clap on every 2nd beat (I prefer soft clap, but normal I guess works as well). so like for example there would be one on the sliderend of 00:12:755 (1), one on the end of 00:15:955 (3), and one on the end of 00:15:155 (2) (the claps on the slow sliders like 00:18:355 (1) sound nice though, but I would suggest make them soft clap)

While you have met the minimum drain time requirement of 30 seconds, I'd still suggest you map the beginning of the map as well. It's generally not advisable to cut the run time of an already short track, esp. if it's under a minute long, and having a 12-second intro in a 50 second track, when it does have beats, just seems a bit on the lazy side. If you're worried it won't leave enough time for a player to prepare, you can just add a few seconds of silence to the music file.

There's also an unused SB folder. Are you planning to add a storyboard, or are those unnecessary leftovers? In the latter case, you should clean those up.

Also, maybe more of a nitpick, but the combos every two-tree notes, considering the low HP drain, aren't very necessary. Using 4-5 length combos like this (https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5878772) would make more sense in my opinion, and would still be in line with the music.

Who... Is she?:

Before going into the specifics here, I'd like to ask whether this was meant as a Normal difficulty, or "just another random difficulty besides Easy", because the star rating, short combos, and the difficulty settings suggest a Normal difficulty, while the inconsistent distance snapping and jumps would be more appropriate for Hard/Insane.

I would totally map the beginning of the song, but as I said before, there is no good place to start the map. The beginning starts very faint and at an almost random section (at least that's what it sounds like). Also, the beats in the beginning are inconvenient to start out from, because of the beginning starting from a random-ish starting spot. I hate not being able to map the beginning, but it really doesn't have a good starting point. Thanks for pointing this out in more detail though, because I wanted to address this.

I was just following the distance snap and I don't think as of now that it is necessary to change the entire distance of the map due to something slightly overlapping. Especially since the circles aren't overlapped that much in my opinion and could easily be hit by new players playing this map.

Thank you for modding I really appreciate it! The way you said in-game made me think this mod was gonna be super short but it was actually quite helpful, and let me explain somethings I wanted to. Again, thank you for the mod!

Hello~ M4M from my queue in-game

Turn widescreen support off in all difficulties since you do not have a storyboard.
The background should be 4:3, the current one is not, I suggest you search for a better source that is 1366x768 which is highly recommended.
The bitrate of the mp3 is 128kbps which is fine, but if you can, you can search for one that has a bitrate of 192kbps which would increase the audio quality.


Easy
  1. I think the cut is just way too abrupt, you may have to tweak this in order to get ranked
  2. There's just too many overlaps which is not good on a easy difficulty, how about increasing the DS so the objects don't overlap?
  3. 00:17:555 (2) - Okay so like this is the only one with the clap on the end of the slider, you can clearly hear the other claps on the end of 00:12:755 (1,2,1) - these three sliders cause that would sound much better and the volume seems to be a bit too loud, you can try 30~40% because the clap seemed to be taking over
  4. 00:22:355 (1) - The hitsound on the head of the slider sounds really awkward with the song, personally I would not put that as the hitsound.
  5. 00:30:355 (2) - There really isn't a sound on the end of this slider, just make it a 1/2 to follow drums or a 3/4 to follow instrumentals. 1/2 highly recommended.
  6. 00:31:955 (1) - Umm from this part, the song is not different than the first part in anyway, I don't see a point of putting a kiai there because the two parts are so similar (maybe even the same) and for such a short and calm song, I don't think the kiai is particularly necessary.

Normal
  1. I really can't find the base spacing, majority of the spacing is random and yeah, not that great for a normal difficulty. I do get that this is supposed to be a custom diff but you should definitely follow the normal difficulty guidelines.
  2. 00:11:155 (1,2) - There are absolutely NO sounds that support this.
  3. 00:11:955 (1) - Is the SV change really necessary? I really don't think so because the instrumentals flow smoothly with the next set of sliders which would mean that they should be more similar to each other, not different.
  4. 00:14:355 (1) - The clap here should be on the 2nd and 4th downbeats (white lines) because this part would be the bass drum.
  5. 00:17:555 (1,2) - fix everything you made like this
  6. 00:18:355 (1) - same thing above and with the rest of the sliders you made like this
  7. 00:31:155 (1) - This may be okay for it because the middle is actually silenced which is abrupt and different. This seems fine to me.
  8. Again, the kiai seems inappropriate to me due to the sections repeating. Which would mean you will have to use 1.2 sv on that part too

    Okay, so in terms of consistency and structure is fine, only problem is that some parts aren't mapped the way it is supposed to, mentioning the 1/3 repeat sliders and the poor use of velocity change. Other than that, I think you should get just a few more mods and start looking for a bn. (I'll check again if I passed the bn test :))

  5. 00:30:355 (2) - There really isn't a sound on the end of this slider, just make it a 1/2 to follow drums or a 3/4 to follow instrumentals. 1/2 highly recommended. i just made the slider end have a really low hitsound so kinda fixed????? xd
  6. 00:31:955 (1) - Umm from this part, the song is not different than the first part in anyway, I don't see a point of putting a kiai there because the two parts are so similar (maybe even the same) and for such a short and calm song, I don't think the kiai is particularly necessary. the kiai is supposed to amplify??? (ii can't find the right word) how the music abruptly starts again

  1. I really can't find the base spacing, majority of the spacing is random and yeah, not that great for a normal difficulty. I do get that this is supposed to be a custom diff but you should definitely follow the normal difficulty guidelines. this isn't really supposed to be a normal diff, but if i get more complaints then i'll see what i can do to make it more fitting
  2. 00:11:155 (1,2) - There are absolutely NO sounds that support this. this is a definite subjective thing that people will have their own thoughts about, but having no repeat sliders sounds and looks so bad to me like i can't handle it, also i would say it definitely fits in some way so i don't think its necessary to change
  3. 00:11:955 (1) - Is the SV change really necessary? I really don't think so because the instrumentals flow smoothly with the next set of sliders which would mean that they should be more similar to each other, not different. the violin's pitch and volume become lower on those slow sliders and thats why i chose to lower sv
  4. 00:14:355 (1) - The clap here should be on the 2nd and 4th downbeats (white lines) because this part would be the bass drum. i really don't like the way it sounds
  5. 00:17:555 (1,2) - fix everything you made like this triggered
  6. 00:18:355 (1) - same thing above and with the rest of the sliders you made like this triggered
  7. 00:31:155 (1) - This may be okay for it because the middle is actually silenced which is abrupt and different. This seems fine to me. :]
  8. Again, the kiai seems inappropriate to me due to the sections repeating. Which would mean you will have to use 1.2 sv on that part too same reason as easy diff

    Okay, so in terms of consistency and structure is fine, only problem is that some parts aren't mapped the way it is supposed to, mentioning the 1/3 repeat sliders and the poor use of velocity change. Other than that, I think you should get just a few more mods and start looking for a bn. (I'll check again if I passed the bn test :) I wish the best!)

I feel really really bad for not agreeing with a lot of stuff i this mod. Maybe i'm too stubborn :[ but thank you so much for the really in depth mod. I really appreciate the fact that you took so much time and made a really good mod for my map. Again, i am really really sorry that i didn't change much, but i'm really thankful.
