[resolved] hhaaalpp... i can't copy/paste in osu chat

Problem Details:
i can't copy paste anything into osu chat. helps pls.
i use mac. could that be why

Video or screenshot showing the problem:

nothing happens

osu! version: 20160403.6 on a mac

You can't anyway
Being on mac doesn't influence anything

Or do you mean posting things in chat using ctrl v (or the mac counterpart of that)

Make sure the cursor is in the chat. If you paste something while being in the editor, it'll not work, as it'll paste in the map

Hello, OS X player here:

Try to copy your text with cmd+c and paste it withctrl+v
Well, the OS X key cmd is the equivalent of ctrl on Windows.
The OS X version of osu! is using a Windows "emulator", so, the key ctrl on your OS X computer will be used as a ctrl key on Windows

For pasting, shouldn't that be 'Cmd' as well? Or does pasting work different when copying with cmd? (FYI, I'm also asking this for myself, I'll soon get a macbook)

In your normal using of a Mac, yes it's cmd+c / cmd+v for copy / paste.

This little edit might help I hope:

so: If you want to copy / paste something in osu! OS X do this:

1. Copy with cmd+c (because you're copying from an OS X system)
2. Paste in osu! with ctrl+v (because you're pasting on a Windows "emulator" which needs the same keys as Windows to work fine)
