General> Give the players more time to recover after a spinner in Easy and Normal difficulties. It's a guideline but highly recommended. End your spinners here 00:04:686 - At this point the following circle appears too. "Try to avoid using hitobjects directly after spinners (especially on Easy/Normal difficulties). Spinners are sometimes the hardest element for players, and having a hitcircle or slider half a beat (or even a beat) after a spinner will commonly result in frustration and a broken combo. Hitobjects directly after spinners are fair game for Hard/Insane difficulties, but try to give a nice pause for Easy/Normal difficulties." Source:
https://osu.ppy.sh/wiki/Standard_Ranking_Criteria> You have unsnapped objects that need snapping. Go to Timing > Resnap all notes. Do this in all difficulties to make sure they are snapped.
> 00:06:167 - Set your preview point here, its slightly off. Do this in all difficulties.
> The volume of the song is really low compared to other songs. Can you find a better mp3 that you could use? If not, lower the hitsound volume. It will match with the song volume a lot better.
> The music at the end gradually gets lower, so should the spinners. Add timing points and decrease the volume every 2 beats (every 2nd white tick) to match the volume of the music.
> Your patterns are rather simple. Try to diversify the patterns a bit and spice them up. You can, for example, create different slider shapes than curved or linear and also blanket the sliders with the the other elements better to provide better flow and appearance.
> Your BG is 1365 x 768 but it should be 1366 x 768. Additionally, size down the other two SB elements for reduced beatmap size and easier SB coding. Here are the files:
http://puu.sh/qWsoU/e4d43fd4eb.7z> I've fixed up your SB codes with the images that I provided you above. Add it and delete the other osb. file.
EasyRhythm & Pattern:
00:10:427 (1) - It would be better if you'd end the slider at 00:12:093 - There is a new sound coming up that needs mapping imo. It also can confuse beginners when the slider ends on the red tick instead of the white one. Additionally, you ended your slider on a full beat, white tick, on this slider as well 00:16:349 (1) - .(You also did this on the Normal difficulty 00:10:427 (4) - ) Don't forget to adjust the spacing after 00:10:427 (3,4) -
Combo:
> "Combos are usually placed to either match the vocal/musical phrases or to indicate the downbeat of each measure. In special cases, combos are used in indicating any discrepancies in spacing or slider velocity." Source:
https://osu.ppy.sh/wiki/Modding00:10:427 (1) - You've previously used a 8 beat NC pattern. Try to keep consistent and use 8 beats for the whole difficulty. Remove this NC.
00:12:834 (4) - Add a NC here and remove the NC at 00:13:387 (1) - . Remove Nc at 00:16:349 (1) - 00:25:427 (1) - 00:28:390 (1) - This also will prevent combo spam and overuse.
Appearance:
00:23:945 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1) - The linear 1/1 sliders aren't 100% perfectly straight. You might want to fix that.
NormalAppearance, Flow & Transition:
00:13:390 (4,1) - The flow and transition between these two objects is a bit harsh, since the player will have to redirect the cursor movement to move to the NC circle. It would play better if it was shaped this way
https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5991515Rhythm & Pattern:
00:22:464 (1,1) - First of all, the green NC slider is not recommended for easier, in this case Normal, difficulties as it may confuse the player and lead to a combo break. Secondly, it would play a lot nicer if you had 3 1/2 sliders that go until 00:23:945 (1) - . This will keep the rhythm the same but create better gameplay. I also think that this slider 00:22:464 (1) - is not needed as a whole. It would rhythmically be more correct to use a single circle at 00:22:464 - instead. Especially because there is no new sound here 00:22:649 - . It's only the echo of the sound that appears at 00:22:464 - in the music. The arrangement is up to you but try it for yourself
https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5991585Combo:
> "Combos are usually placed to either match the vocal/musical phrases or to indicate the downbeat of each measure. In special cases, combos are used in indicating any discrepancies in spacing or slider velocity." Source:
https://osu.ppy.sh/wiki/Modding00:19:501 (1) - 00:22:464 - 00:25:427 (1) - 00:28:390 (1) - You broke your NC pattern here and went from 8 to 4 beats. Remove it NC to fix it.
HardCombo:
> "Combos are usually placed to either match the vocal/musical phrases or to indicate the downbeat of each measure. In special cases, combos are used in indicating any discrepancies in spacing or slider velocity." Source:
https://osu.ppy.sh/wiki/Modding00:00:797 (1) - Again, don't overuse NC, this will cause NC spam. Remove this. Btw a 4 beat NC pattern will fit good here. Although, you've changed your pattern here again 00:10:612 - . It's difficult to NC this difficulty due to the song being so bitty.
Rhythm & Pattern:
00:11:816 - You could add a note here as there is a sound in the music that can be mapped to. This will create a triple.
00:14:316 (6) - Rhythmically, this slider shouldn't be a reversed triple slider. There is nothing to map to at 00:14:408 - . That's considered as overmapping. There is a sound at 00:14:316 - and 00:14:501 - . Add a 1/2 slider instead.
Interface Issues:
00:25:427 (3) - This slider overlaps with the accuracy bar at the bottom when it's turned on while playing. I recommend that you fix this by moving the ending point of the slider up a bit. Try to avoid this in the future. Fix your spacing too after.
00:28:390 (7) - This slider overlaps with the HP bar at the top with the osu!standard skin. I recommend that you fix this by moving the slider down a bit. Try to avoid this in the future. Fix your spacing too after.
Spacing:
00:09:871 (3,4) - The spacing here is almost identical with the spacing that you used for 00:09:501 (2,3) - . You need to enlarge the spacing between 00:09:871 (3,4) - to ensure good gameplay and readability. Same with 00:11:167 (6,7) - it's a bit too small.
OverallThe mapset needs more work regarding blankets, combo patterns and flow. Other than that, it's an okay mapset.
