Hi ! 3rd mod incoming o

Platter
  1. 00:20:422 (3) - This note kinda feels weak due to the stronger melody but quite small spacing, I'd suggest moving it to around x:296.
  2. 00:45:422 (1) - What about moving this to x:144? It plays a bit better imo.
That's all I can find here o
Salad

Can't find anything ;w;
Hyperion's Cup

Here neither ;w;
Except that you forgot to add "Dark Cloud" as the source.

I love this one! Good luck ><

JBHyperion Cuppu
00:03:200 (1) - I wonder why you didn`t use similar pattern as 00:00:978 (2) since its sound base is same. Or else keep it.

Other, na its nice cup :3

Salad
00:14:311 (1) - Move this pattern a bit left to x:456, reducing distance on this part a bit okay.
00:49:866 (3) - ^ to x:64
00:18:755 (1) - Try moving this to x:344 or x:352, since this one kinda forceful dash. Maybe.

Nice flow salad :)

Platter
00:15:978 - Move this to x:184, making flow smooth

Clean mapset, good luck for ranking :)

Salad
00:14:311 (1) - Move this pattern a bit left to x:456, reducing distance on this part a bit okay. - Sure.
00:49:866 (3) - ^ to x:64 - Sure.
00:18:755 (1) - Try moving this to x:344 or x:352, since this one kinda forceful dash. Maybe. - I think the pitch change makes the dash here nice.

Nice flow salad :)

Platter
00:15:978 - Move this to x:184, making flow smooth - I don't feel any difference.

Clean mapset, good luck for ranking :)
Thanks for the mod!

[General]
  1. Add ダーククラウド to your Tags. This is the Japanese translation of Dark Cloud: http://vgmdb.net/album/272
  2. Inconsistency in Combo Colours
  3. You need to add 'Dark Cloud' to the source in the Cup, JBH hasn't done that already.
[Hyperion's Cup]
  1. Add 'Dark Cloud' to your Tags.
  2. It's a decent Cup, what should I even mod here? I have just a few troubles with the density you chose because sometimes it really feels a little... well... boring. I can understand it because of the song though, so one little suggestion in my next point, otherwise the difficulty is ready for qualify already.
  3. I guess you can add a note to the below mentioned ticks, because I think it's an important section in this song:
    00:00:700 - , 00:02:922 - , 00:09:589 - , 00:11:811 - , 00:18:478 - , 00:27:366 - , 00:36:255 - 00:38:478 - , 00:45:144 - , 00:47:366 - , Each of them can be a nice triplet patter, but of course not all of them, I want you to add some wherever you think they are the most fitting. Consider for yourself where you would like to add some more density.
[Salad]
  1. Before I start modding this: The Salad feels almost as easy as the Cup. What I suggest in this mod will mainly be things which increase the difficulty at least slightly.
  2. 00:09:311 (3,1) - , 00:11:533 (3,1) - You can start using some easy Dash patterns here already. I understand you didn't at the very beginning but the player had 10 seconds of warm-up and should be ready for a bit of higher difficulty at this point.
  3. 00:18:200 (3,1) - This can be reached without dash. Increase distance slightly.
  4. 00:27:089 (3,1) - , 00:35:978 (3,1) - , 00:38:200 (3,1) - , 00:44:866 (3,1) - , 00:47:089 (3,1) - ,...(and so on) They are potentially enough for a Dash. Decide yourself where you would like to add some dashes to increase the difficulty a bit at least.
[Platter]
  1. Woooo, a Platter with 2 Hypers, this is like Krah's first Salad. It had 2 Hypers, too. You see what I did there? lol
  2. 00:02:089 (3,4,1) - Do this instead:
  3. 00:09:311 (4) - x464
  4. Ok let me sum this up, please. Instead of me letting suggest a pattern over and over, here are more potential places for some Hypers. You really should add more, or this can barely called a Platter at all: 00:11:533 (3,1) - , 00:35:978 (3,1) - 00:38:200 (3,1) - , 00:44:866 (3,1) - , 00:47:089 (3,1) -
Halp, why did you call me to mod this? There is nothing to mod. I cry. The actual problem in this set just comes with the Platter, it should have more Hypers. But that's it kinda. The rest is all just suggestions. I never gave such a short mod for a very long time, ugh... Sorry.

Good luck in qualifying this... which should be soon.... Srsly...

I did have a few more notes originally, but nerfed the diff since it seemed too close to the Salad. I've added some extra notes back in to this diff, and if MB agrees to buff his diffs a little as per your suggestions, there shouldn't be a problem.

Good luck in qualifying this... which should be soon.... Srsly...

  1. Add ダーククラウド to your Tags. This is the Japanese translation of Dark Cloud: http://vgmdb.net/album/272 - Done.
  2. Inconsistency in Combo Colours - Wut. I can't find any.
[Salad]
- Sure.

Decide yourself where you would like to add some dashes to increase the difficulty a bit at least. - Added some, not in all places you mentioned, but most.
[Platter]
  1. Woooo, a Platter with 2 Hypers, this is like Krah's first Salad. It had 2 Hypers, too. You see what I did there? lol - Tbh I feel this helps to fit the calm nature of the song.
  2. 00:02:089 (3,4,1) - Do this instead: - Not really a fan of a dash to 4, that sound feels quite weak to me.
  3. 00:09:311 (4) - x464 - Same as above, a dash to this doesn't really fit imo.
  4. Ok let me sum this up, please. Instead of me letting suggest a pattern over and over, here are more potential places for some Hypers. Halp, why did you call me to mod this? There is nothing to mod. I cry. The actual problem in this set just comes with the Platter, it should have more Hypers. But that's it kinda. The rest is all just suggestions. I never gave such a short mod for a very long time, ugh... Sorry.

Thanks for the mod! Updated.

Not sure why I'm modding this but okay.

General Comments:
  1. Song Folder: No issues
  2. Song Setup: You have two sets of tags in the Platter diff, remove one to be consistent with the other diffs please xD
  3. Metadata: No issues, reference is in mine and Sey's previous posts
  4. Timing: No issues
  5. Hitsounds:
  6. AImod: Just the tag conflict in Platter
Difficulty-Specific Comments:

Salad
  1. 00:00:978 (1) - Missing whistle
  2. 00:32:089 (1) - Prominent sound and a 2/1 spacing afterwards draws finality and emphasis to this note, so I'd try adding a dash here if possible
  3. 00:40:978 (1) - ^
  4. 00:44:866 (3) - Missing whistle
Platter
  1. 00:00:978 (1) - Missing whistle
  2. 00:09:311 (4,1) - Hdash between these two?
  3. 00:44:866 (3) - ^ (Consistency with other whistle suggestion)
  4. 00:44:866 (3,1) - Hdash between these two? (Consistency with other hdash suggestion)
Not really much explanation necessary really, Sey has already argued the point for a bit of extra movement in the diffs, and the hitsound suggestions were things I missed originally.
Absolute Zero
[Hyperion's Cup]
AIMod: Nothing.
Overall: Looking pretty good! Just a few comments.
00:12:089 (1) - Make this curve a little easier? Might be easy to miss droplets.
00:17:644 - Add a hitcircle here? Might be nice to add an extra hit not to make this break too long.
00:18:755 (2,3) - Increase the spacing here? The distance between (1,2) is the same but time-wise, the break is half the length.
00:28:755 (2) - (Trivial comment) I guess you could say that the NC could be put here (based on one way to look at the phrasing)
00:40:422 - This is also a melody note. Consider placing a hitcircle? (I think it's pretty prevalent).
00:47:645 (1) - Prime droplet missing spot in my opinion. I would suggest making the curve a little less 180-degree-ish and focus more on simpler slider shapes.
00:49:867 (1) - Personally I feel like a NC is a little funny here since the phrase hasn't quite completed and a (1) combo is very short.

[Salad]
AIMod: Nothing.
Overall: Plays nicely, some jumps are a little unexpected, but I've indicated which ones below.
00:11:533 (3,1) - Ctrl+G? This might be an easy place for salad players to miss.
00:23:755 - Add a hitcircle here too? The other background note is there.
00:35:978 (3,1) - Not sure if you want a reverse and a dash here. It's pretty late in the song and might be a little challenging for salad players. I like the way you use the pattern on 00:38:200 (3,1) more.
00:48:755 (2,3) - Reduce distance here, or bring (3) to the edge of the board. If you bring it to the edge, the player can hit the wall and even if they're out of control, they'll still catch it. If it's closer, they're less likely to panic.

[Platter]
AIMod: Tags are still conflicting, not sure if you fixed that.
Overall: Not much at all.
And now for my one comment on hitsounding:
00:00:978 (1) - Change this to whistle + finish? I feel like it should be stronger than the other whistle in (3).
00:48:755 (2,3) - Augment the distance here since the pitch difference is larger.

Merry
Christmas!

Overall: Looking pretty good! Just a few comments.
00:12:089 (1) - Make this curve a little easier? Might be easy to miss droplets. Sure, curved it a little more smoothly
00:17:644 - Add a hitcircle here? Might be nice to add an extra hit not to make this break too long. If I add one here, I should add one at 00:17:089 as well which is a slightly stronger sound, and I don't want this to feel too dense. I like how the pause draws emphasis to the triplet, so I'll keep this
00:18:755 (2,3) - Increase the spacing here? The distance between (1,2) is the same but time-wise, the break is half the length. Wut, 00:18:200 (1,2,3) all have equal spacing, on the playfield and on the timeline lol
00:28:755 (2) - (Trivial comment) I guess you could say that the NC could be put here (based on one way to look at the phrasing) I prefer to maintain a downbeat NC pattern instead
00:40:422 - This is also a melody note. Consider placing a hitcircle? (I think it's pretty prevalent). Agreed, this beat is more important than 00:39:311 so I made 00:38:755 (1) into a 2/1 slider and added a note where you suggested
00:47:645 (1) - Prime droplet missing spot in my opinion. I would suggest making the curve a little less 180-degree-ish and focus more on simpler slider shapes. Can't be too simple for fear of boring the player, but I did reduce the turn on the curve a little
00:49:867 (1) - Personally I feel like a NC is a little funny here since the phrase hasn't quite completed and a (1) combo is very short. 00:49:867 (1) is the start of a new phrase, emphasized by the clap sound and part of the downbeat NC pattern I have followed throughout
Thanks for the mod!

Not sure why I'm modding this but okay.

General Comments:
  1. Song Folder: No issues
  2. Song Setup: You have two sets of tags in the Platter diff, remove one to be consistent with the other diffs please xD - Fixed.
  3. Metadata: No issues, reference is in mine and Sey's previous posts
  4. Timing: No issues
  5. Hitsounds:
  6. AImod: Just the tag conflict in Platter - I FIXED IT ALREADY GOD.
Difficulty-Specific Comments:

Salad
  1. 00:00:978 (1) - Missing whistle - Nah I did this intentionally.
  2. 00:32:089 (1) - Prominent sound and a 2/1 spacing afterwards draws finality and emphasis to this note, so I'd try adding a dash here if possible - Don't really like this idea because of the pitch being a lot lower.
  3. 00:40:978 (1) - ^ - ^
  4. 00:44:866 (3) - Missing whistle - HE'S NOT MISSING I FOUND HIM.
Platter
  1. 00:00:978 (1) - Missing whistle - I can't whistle.
  2. 00:09:311 (4,1) - Hdash between these two? - Sure.
  3. 00:44:866 (3) - ^ (Consistency with other whistle suggestion) - You fucked up. But sure, I'm trying to whistle, but it's not working.
  4. 00:44:866 (3,1) - Hdash between these two? (Consistency with other hdash suggestion) - Please stop making me overmap.
Not really much explanation necessary really, Sey has already argued the point for a bit of extra movement in the diffs, and the hitsound suggestions were things I missed originally.

AIMod: Nothing.
Overall: Plays nicely, some jumps are a little unexpected, but I've indicated which ones below.
00:11:533 (3,1) - Ctrl+G? This might be an easy place for salad players to miss. - There is enough time for a reaction here.
00:23:755 - Add a hitcircle here too? The other background note is there. - Same one as there has been for the rest of them.
00:35:978 (3,1) - Not sure if you want a reverse and a dash here. It's pretty late in the song and might be a little challenging for salad players. I like the way you use the pattern on 00:38:200 (3,1) more. - Again, I think the reaction time here is enough for a platter player.
00:48:755 (2,3) - Reduce distance here, or bring (3) to the edge of the board. If you bring it to the edge, the player can hit the wall and even if they're out of control, they'll still catch it. If it's closer, they're less likely to panic. - I made it easier in a different way.

[Platter]
AIMod: Tags are still conflicting, not sure if you fixed that. - STOP IT'S FIXED GOD DAMNIT.
Overall: Not much at all.
And now for my one comment on hitsounding:
00:00:978 (1) - Change this to whistle + finish? I feel like it should be stronger than the other whistle in (3). - Done with JBH's mod.
00:48:755 (2,3) - Augment the distance here since the pitch difference is larger. - Not entirely sure what you mean but I increased the distance slightly, I think that's what you said.
Thanks for the mod!

  1. 00:04:866 -, 00:05:978 -, 00:14:866 -, 00:17:089 -, 00:17:644 -, 00:19:311 -, 00:20:422 -, 00:24:866 -, 00:28:200 -, 00:30:422 -, 00:31:533 -, 00:32:644 -, 00:34:866 -, 00:35:422 -, 00:41:533 - i am well aware that I'm not familiar with Cup's mapping style, but I do feel that those sounds at the white ticks should be noticed as well. It doesnt have to be emphasize, only just to fill in the sounds in the white tick. You can use either a circle or a 2/1 slider so that the slider tick can fill the white tick, if you understand what I'm talking about.
OR you can just disregard this instead... it's already well mapped in my opinion lol :P

[Salad]
  1. 00:01:533 -, 00:03:755 -, 00:05:978 -, 00:10:422 -, 00:12:644 -, 00:14:866 -, 00:19:311 -, 00:19:866 -, 00:23:755 -, 00:25:978 -, 00:28:200 -, 00:30:422 -, 00:32:644 -, 00:37:089 -, 00:39:311 -, 00:41:533 -, 00:45:978 -, 00:48:200 - the same case as jbabe's, but for this difficulty, this one cannot simply be ignored easily. although it's a slow song, those white tick sounds shouldn't be left out like that. some 2/1 sliders in between those white ticks are highly recommended.
[Platter]
  1. 00:04:311 (2) - x:472
  2. 00:04:866 (3) - increase the distance between the circle before if you agree with the mod above, or else ignore this
  3. 00:00:422 (1,4,4,3,4,4,3,3,3,3) - I felt like these sliders need more distance (means need increase in SV) buuuuuuut I think it's fine already. :D
that's all from from me I guess... good luck on ranking and Merry Christmas to both of you :P

MBomb req

General
  1. I see that you add "playstation rpg level-5" in tags because this song is of a game, so why not "videogame"? I think that if I know this game is the first thing that I will search, also this game is for playstation 2, i suggest you change "playstation" with "playstation-2" because if you search with 2, you cant find this map.
  2. About the density, the difference between Cup and Salad is really low (combos 79 and 81), there are two possibilities that I recommend, the first is remove some notes in the cup, hyperion if you look the Salad in detail, you can see that mbomb only follow treble sounds, i prefer his idea, if you agree you would remove 00:03:755 - and 00:19:866 - , ok, regarding the diferece, is not too diferent, mbomb can follow some more treble sounds, like 00:14:866 - , to my ear this sound is more listenable than 00:17:644 - and you add note here, is not the same as 00:12:644 - or 00:10:422 - because since 00:14:311 (1) - here the sounds are quite strong.
  3. In my opinion would be dumb add Kiai in this song but I recommend adding some difficulty between 00:18:755 - 00:23:200 , because these sounds are really more strong than the rest, of course this is especially directed to the Salad and Platter, I see no way to add a logical difficulty in Cup.
  4. I dont know if is a bug, but cup 00:43:756 (1) - salad 00:43:755 (2) - platter 00:43:755 (2) - , from what I see the cup seems to have a wrong bpm of offset for thousandths (in this case, is not would be visible in the Timing setup panel, and I think the AiMod does not mention).

Cup
  1. 00:00:978 (2) - Why not nc here? like magic bomb did in his difficulties, because is the true new stanza.
  2. 00:06:533 (2,1,2) - In my opinion the difference of distances can be a bit more, and ingame the distance to 00:08:200 (1) - is not really high as the sound, this is 1/1 but not forget that you are mapping with 108 of bpm, with so low, is difficult predict distances, is recommendable to test more.
  3. 00:08:200 (1) - Is necessary this nc? There is not a clear change in the stanza and the combo is short enough for this, i prefer remove this nc.
  4. If you added more distance to 00:03:200 (1) - , to 00:09:866 (1) - , for the loud sounds in these, why not 00:11:533 (2,3,1) - here to (1)? You probably did this because this sound is a bit less treble, I know that this case is diferent because here is 1/2 but all sounds in 00:12:089 - are definitely more strong.
  5. 00:18:200 (1,2,3) - Is exactly the same case as above, for me the sound in 00:18:755 - deserves more distance, also if you deny these suggestions at least i suggest you reduce the distance to (3) to keep the consistency because are same sounds, just with more volume, so you would be based on the same reason.
  6. 00:18:200 (3,1) - The incresing of volume is not a reason to break the consistency of nc, for me the nc should be in 00:18:755 (3) - as MBomb did in his diffs, because this is the sound that really changes the stanza, both the treble and the bass (which are not followed by notes, obviously), and to keep consistency with 00:11:533 (2,3,1) - , 00:09:311 (2,1) - , etc.
  7. Really this diff is nice, about distances i only can see the same suggestion! 00:27:089 (2,3,1) - Same case with these, as in 00:18:200 (1,2,3) .
  8. 00:28:755 (2,3,1) - Ahhhm, and here the same but with different sounds and density, to be honest, for me use equal distances is boring, also a little more here fits perfect, i mean to 00:29:866 - , this sound is more strong, so in my opinion more distance would be nice, try with x 44, instead if you prefer follow tone than the volume, is recommendable reduce the distance, for example x 372 (to the right because to the left is not "obvious"), i not prefer that because you will break the constancy with the other of these, like 00:38:755 (1,2,1) - .
  9. 00:33:200 (2,1) - Why this shooort distance? i understand that 00:35:978 (1) - not deserve too distance but in 3/1 at least with x 180 would be fine to do a obligatory movement, yeah currently here is not necessary move the Ryuuta.
  10. 00:43:755 (1) - Is exactly the same as 00:08:200 (1) , in my opinion the nc is not necessary.
  11. 00:43:756 (1) - Is really necessary do a curve here? It causes a really short distance and there is no constant sound to justify this, are some other case of this suggestion like 00:03:200 (1) - but here the sound in 00:03:755 - can deserve this distance "no-movement-required". Edit: Ohm, also 00:20:978 (1) - here is the same and really 00:21:533 - deserves more distance, please do these more horizontal.
  12. And the last suggestion is add more distance to (1) in 00:44:867 (2,3,1) -, for the same reason as 00:18:200 (1,2,3) .

Salad
  1. I notice that since the beginning of the song you didnt add dash to sounds that can deserve it, I understand your idea, its fine, but you started to use 00:09:311 (3,1) - here, I cant really find anything that differentiate it from other sounds, really is not necessary to give less difficulty at the beginning of the song, and considering that the song has the same intensity all the time (except for a short period since 00: 14: 311 -) I think it would be better to add dash from the beginning or start using them with 00: 13: 200 (2.1) - because this marks a change in the song, but to be honest I find it much better my first suggestion, what do you think?
  2. 00:06:533 (2,3,1) - In the editor is "obvious", but in game is difficult to notice a difference of distance, the sound in 00:07:644 - is low enough to give a shorter distance, I suggest you something like x 168.
  3. 00:07:644 (1) - Ahhh, i think that this nc is not necessary, i dont see any change in the stanza, and the combo is short enough, if you want add nc, should be in 00:08:200 (2) -, but i prefer not add around here.
  4. 00:20:422 (2,1,2,1) - Feels weird because you need use dahs to 00:20:978 (1) - , and then the distance to 00:22:089 (2) - is really short, maybe in the edit seems enough but not forget that is 108 of bpm, the sound is lower, but not much, the bet time to add blunt distances is here, but 3 dash is object-row maybe is hard for a Salad, I still feel that your choice of dash is not the best, I suggest you add more distance between 00:20:422 (2,1,2,1) - and only dash to 00:23:200 (1) - maybe this is not the loudest sound but is sufficiently distinguishable from the others, also marks the end of this section/stanza, equally as you prefer, also can use the previous (dash to all, and if is possible with a bit more distance each a note to highlight the difference).
  5. 00:23:200 - until 00:35:978 - Yeah for me remove dash here is good option, as you did, because these sounds are slightly lower to those who follow, is not a suggestion, only clarification to be consistent with my previous argument (:
  6. 00:33:200 (2,3,1) - I suggest you do this same as 00:06:533 (2,3,1) , because the sound in (1) not deserves the same distance, also if you accept this, the distance to 00:34:866 (2) - would be less than to 00:34:311 (1) - for the same reason.
  7. 00:43:200 (1) - Same as 00:07:644 (1), if you want add, should be in 00:43:755 (2) -, and again i suggest just remove this nc.

Platter
  1. 00:00:422 (1,1) - you always make me this suggestions in your mods so I think is well to do the same for you! The distance is confusing because really is not easy to say whether or not required dash (in fact, not required), you can add a bit more to do this more "obvious".
  2. Is the same case 00:04:311 (2,3,1) - here, but i dont know if you really want to add here, if is not the case, i suggest you reduce a bit, equally i prefer if oyu add dash here, is more recommendable reduce a bit the distance to 00:04:866 (3) - to not place 00:05:422 (1) - in the wall.
  3. 00:06:533 (2,3,1) - Same as the Salad, i suggest you reduce the distance to 00:07:644 (1) - because the sound here have less volume, for example with x 64 or a bit more.
  4. 00:07:644 (1) - Same as Salad, for me this nc is not necessary.
  5. 00:11:533 (3,1) - Why not hdash here? to be consistent with 00:09:311 (4,1) - , i know that you can vary here, but since 00:09:311 - these sounds are the same, unlike the previous ones, so it seems more convenient in my understanding.
  6. 00:12:089 (1,2,3) - Okay, the distance to 00:13:755 (3) - is less than to 00:13:200 (2) - and its fine because this sound is considerably lower, if you really want to highlight this, in my opinion the diference can be more, for example with 00:13:755 (3) - x 448, other option is add distance to 00:13:200 (2) - .
  7. 00:25:422 (1,2,3) - I suggest exactly the same as above, the difference is not visible in game.
  8. 00:38:200 (3,1) - Ahm, again i understand your idea but for me this platter can be 2 o 3 more hdash, so this is good time, and to be consistent with 00:35:978 (3,1) - , etc. Same case 00:47:089 (3,1) - here.
  9. 00:43:200 (1) - Again about nc, same as the Salad.
    Nice platter!

Good luck :P
