Objects spread doesn't looks well
on Cup there is 135
on Salad there is ten more ovo
and objects amount on salad is almost doubled

The flow is nice here, but you should add some notes. Its almost same dense as Cup

The spread between diffs is pretty crappy, salad doesnt use 1/4 patterns at all and platter use 1/4 almost all the time also Hyperion uses even 1/8 static streams (I dont say its bad or something) Salad looks more like Cup just with higher distance between notes, nothing else. The slider which uses both Cup and Salad 00:27:111 (1) - is harder on Cup lol

About the object spread, I think Kuro's diffs were mapped quite a while ago, so it's no surprise that there's a big difference between "then" and "now". I will probably need my diff a little since it came out a bit harder than I wanted it to, so we'll discuss and work on this.

Tried to fix as much as possible but its a one year old mapset and I did not touched it since. Thats why I decided to remove my Platter in the first place. /o/ The used style there was no longer mines and I don't know how to touch it anymore. Hopefully until I get the taiko icons the CtB will be cleared as much as possible.

By the way, the taikos are already done, I worked on them during that post and submited soon after. :P

  1. I think there is a spread issue, the salad to platter jump in SR is pretty high. If you buff the salad a bit, im sure this would be no problem though

Cup
Opening thoughts: This is an interesting Cup to me. There isn't much I would say is wrong, only some things I would change a bit but this diff is solid.
  1. 00:10:302 (1) - I would make this just a vertical slider because you instinctively move to one spot and stay to catch it. It is easily catchable with good positioning but a cup player probably cant do this so just a vertical slider may help with this.
  2. 00:23:068 (2) - I would make this a horizontal slider to make this a bit more interesting. Vertical slider is okay but a horizontal slider would keep up more movement which would be nice.
  3. 00:39:239 (1,2) - I think these can be more horizontal and be more appealing, but it wouldn't actually change the gameplay. Just make it look better so feel free to not change it if you want
  4. 00:46:898 (2,2) - I feel these should be more horizontal. Similar reason to what I said before
  5. 00:57:111 (2,3,4,5,1) - I would reduce the distance between these a bit just so it isn't overwhelming to such a new player such as the players who normally play cups.
Song Setup Recommendations: none really

Closing Thoughts: This cup note density is kinda high at times but im sure it's fine. Some notes are pretty spaced for cup standards and i would consider reducing them to be easily readable and playable for low players that normally play cups. I didn't point all these areas out but they are obvious and it's only a suggestion. overall this is a good cup tho

Salad
Opening thoughts: Interesting, but can be changed in a few ways to better work
  1. 00:01:792 (1) - I feel this should really continue on the other side of the screen, feels awkward on this side but it plays fine. Just please consider moving this for comfort
  2. 00:06:047 (2,3,4,5) - i find this section awkward. Would recommend making the 3 circles function like a repeat slider and then have the slider afterwards face towards the following slider. I feel this flows a lot better
  3. 00:10:090 (3,1) - I think the double dash needed here is a bit much for a salad. I would make the first note walkable then have a dash to the second and it play fine
  4. 00:18:813 (1) - Why not more horizontal movement here?? I think this would play better than just a vertical slider
  5. 00:26:473 (2,3,4,1) - The distance between these should be lowered because this should be walkable and have a dash at the end to play better. The awkward distancing now is between walk and dash.
  6. 00:48:175 (2,3) - I feel the dash back to this should be reduced because it's a bit excessive for a salad to dash then back dash again
  7. 00:51:153 (1) - Jump to this is too harsh for a salad, reduce please
  8. 01:07:324 (1) - Having to dash to this then back dash is too hard for a salad, reduce by making this walkable then have a dash to the stream
  9. 01:17:749 (2,3) - make this more easily walkable by reducing the distance
  10. 01:22:856 (2,3,4) - ^ same as above.
Song Setup Recommendations: none
Closing Thoughts: This salad is a bit too hard for the SR, should use less double dash as well. the NCs are quite short and can easily be longer by using NC half as often meaning you should double the length of each combo.

Platter
Opening thoughts: Everything seems okay except for some issues and flow problems
  1. 00:02:111 (2,3) - these are too far apart, awkward spacing makes the flow feel bad.
  2. 00:15:728 (2,3,4) - something about this feels off. I feel like this should be walkable maybe?
  3. 00:16:685 (6,7,1) - I feel like the distancing should be reduced here, seems a bit too much for a platter
  4. 00:26:473 (1,2,1,2,1,1,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1) - NCs here are too short, they can be longer. Also the dashing here feels bad. I wouldn't use dashing or just use it once or twice, the way it is now is tedious and confusing
  5. 00:43:494 (1,2,1,2,1) - This doesn't work to me. I think the dashing should be less here. Maybe dash every 4 notes instead(or every 2 sliders)?
  6. 00:57:111 (1,2,1,2,1) - ^ similar situation here

Applied as much as possible except 00:06:047 (2,3,4,5) - on Salad but I don't want to change the double dashes. They works fine with this music and I don't find them too hard, actually. Well, this might change a few mod later. Thank you. :3

00:06:047 (2,3,4) - Reduce the spacing by a bit; the sliders are really slow and I think the way this is spaced makes it inconsistent (plus it's the beginning part, which is a calm part so less spacing might be needed).
00:50:302 (2) - Make this a bit diagonal, pointing to the left.
01:11:579 (1) - This is catchable without dashing, but I still suggest making it closer to the previous object.

[Salad]
00:06:260 (4) - Move either to the left or to the right.

  3. 01:13:919 (2) - I would remove the repeat on this note and add circles at 01:14:558 - and 01:14:771 - . If you don't want to add them both, I think adding just one circle at 01:14:558 - would be enough.

Salad
  1. 00:00:941 (2,1) - I think there's no need to have these going opposite directions so early. I would just ctrl+g both of these and it'll be fine.
  2. 00:06:047 (2,3,4) - this plays fine but just looks bad. Maybe move (4) on top of (2)?
  3. 00:34:558 (2,1) - I'm a fan of left+rights, but both of these sliders with the same exact motion right in a row can get repetitive. I would change the direction of one of them.
  4. 00:53:707 (3) - ctrl+g this and I think it'll play better with the pattern you've created after that.

Hey guys, unfortunately I cannot continue with my mod because I need to clarify something before...

The gap between Salad and Platter is really big whilst the one between Cup and Salad is pretty low, so basically we have some spread issues on this. Both difficulties however do play great and I wouldn't want to see this Platter being nerfed nor this Salad being buffed. In consequence of this, I only finished a hitsound mod for now on the Cup, which should be adapted to both Salad and Platter difficulties. So please go through that and see what you can do about that. My cup mod also contains a bit of gameplay related things which you can apply already.

Now back to the problem, I think in order to ensure a neat spread you guys should add an easier Platter or harder Salad between the two already existing difficulties and it should be somewhere around 2,4-2,6 star rating. I want to know which options you both prefer:
1. I mod your difficulties and help JBH to nerf his Platter in order to make it more suitable with the previous difficulties.
2. I mod your difficulties as if there weren't any spread issues and you will add another difficulty to this set, as I suggested above.

Please let me know what you are planning to do with this set, so I know how to mod it properly.

[Cup]
  1. Hitsounding is really weird and inconsistent , I will mainly focus on this in my mod. Please make sure to copy my hitsound suggestions to your Salad and Platter as well, since I won't write them twice.
  2. 00:00:090 (1) - Why does it not have a Finish hitsound? It suits the music.
  3. 00:05:196 (1) - Whistle at slider tail, lacks of emphasis of the music.
  4. 00:06:898 (1,2,1) - I don't understand this pattern. Either make all sliders the same slope or make it stronger from one slider to the next, but not as it is now on a Cup. 00:11:153 (2) - Making this one vertical goes better with the 2 previous notes as well. The whole pattern seems pretty random to me. Clean it up, please.
  5. 00:12:004 (1) - Same as at 00:05:196 (1) -
  6. 00:19:664 (2) - Remove Finish on the slider head, whistle alone sounds better.
  7. 00:20:302 (3) - Clap to emphasize the drums better and being consistent with 00:22:004 (3) - .
  8. 00:26:898 (4,1) - Personally I don't recommend this short distance between note and spinner in a Cup. It is very hard to react in time for a Newbie like that. Please provide at least an 1/1 break and let the spinner start at 00:27:324 (1) - .
  9. 00:30:728 (1) - Slider head should be a Finish hitsound and slider tail should be a Whistle. Sounds far better than the clap.
  10. 00:32:430 (1) - Make this one more lopsided to the left and more horicontally with 00:33:281 (2) - , for example this improves the flow:

I'm aware of the gap and its bugging me a lot. Unfortunately, I have no idea about how to make Salad harder than it is currently. I told it to JBH to degrease the rating of Platter a bit so if you can help out with Salad to make it harder that would be nice.

I've spoken with Kuro and decided to reduce the difficulty of the Platter quite a bit by removing a lot of the dashes in the intro and outro, as well as reducing the spacing of most of the 1/4 spaced patterns considerably. I haven't nerfed it totally into the ground, but I think it's at least somewhat workable now. I would, of course, greatly appreciate your thoughts on it if you're feeling a little more comfortable with the spread now.
