Problem Details:
I play on Mac. I speak Japanese fluently, so I would like to speak Japanese in the Japanese chat, but unfortunately, any Japanese/Chinese/Korean writings aren't supported. I have also played on windows and encountered the same problem. How can I fix this or go around this?

Does It happen with osu only?. I think this is related to your operating system

Yes, I can type anywhere normally. 「翔です」 < I can see that perfectly, so far it's only osu!

Go to options and type "filter foreign characters". Is the box checked? If so, uncheck it.

Yes, it's unchecked, if I check it, nothing appears, the boxes aren't even there.

I don't see where this can be fixed on a Mac, though.. that thread was for a Windows issue
