I see you posting here but not playing nor modding by beatmap. What do you have to say in mitigation?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ..... fixed.
Bonsai
I was just having a nice soliloquy when suddenly you wrote something D: not writing in code so the timestamps work
23:25 Bonsai: 00:42:147 (1) - dunno was du da genau gemappt hast?.?
23:31 Stefan: Also eh
23:37 Bonsai: oh
23:37 Bonsai: uhm
23:38 Bonsai: ok i guess ^^
23:38 Stefan: Sorry x:
23:38 Bonsai: np ^^
23:38 Stefan: Gute Nacht o/
23:38 Bonsai: Nacht lol

  1. Just wanna point again out for the record that I don't think using x0,6 is a good idea as it doesn't really 'teach beginners the correlation between timing and distance'
  2. 02:30:947 (4) - NC here? I mean the NCs are pretty random anyways, but here it would make sense to stick to the general measure since that's not the only 4/1-interval
  3. 02:47:747 (2) and 03:00:547 (2) - same thing as in the previous ones, but I'll explain it again so it doesn't look like I'm just randomly hating things >:D Leaving out the major downbeat just doesn't make any sense to me since this doesn't highlight any special rhythm or something of that sort in the song, so I see no benefit of doing that, but it breaks the general rhythm of the song. If you wanted to have a slidertail on 03:02:147 to emphasize the break that is in the song there I'd just recommending replacing that slider with a 2/1-repeat-slider, or, y'know, just a circle and a 2/1-slider :^)
  4. 03:28:547 (1,2,3,4) - One 'structural unit' of the song is that the measures are always in pairs - What I mean with that is that the importance of the beats is like the order of the colored tics Having a break between (3) and (4) gives (4) more emphasis. The break would make more sense at 03:30:947 (2) - since that gives emphasis according to the song. Also, when taking 8/1 as one unit, the 'general importance' (I can't find a fitting word lol) decreases in this unit until it suddenly peaks at the next 8/1 again - what I'm saying is that 03:30:947 feels less important than 03:32:547 lol
Applies to more sections than just this, but I won't point it out again (but I can if you don't get what I'm trying to say ^^)
  5. 03:39:747 (2,3,1,2,3) - this is pretty dense all of a sudden, though nothing's really changed in the music. Especially in contrast to 03:44:547 (3,1,2,3)
  6. 03:52:547 - maybe a slider until 03:54:147 (1) would fit nicely here? Just a suggestion
  7. 04:19:747 (1,2,3,1,1,1) - this doesn't make any sense to me at all, feels just very unstructured. And also takes away the 'peculiarity' of 04:38:947 (1) which should represent the whoosh again I guess
  8. 04:59:747 (1,2) - what do these sliders represent?.?
  9. 05:30:947 - this is the only time this beat gets left out in this Kiai :(
  10. The whole ending seems extremely random - first it's generally 4/1 (and the 2/1-slider inbetween is unfitting bc of the thing I didn't want to point out again), then 5 2/1-beats, followed by a 8/1-break and -slider
Generally the whole map feels very unstructured. I guess there's a reason for not many 'Baby-Marathons' being done, and this reason might be that it's just very hard to map both structured and diverse for five minutes when you're being limited so much by the difficulty. It would make sense for songs that actually have a varying basic-beat, but this is not one of those. The rhythmic 'layer' this difficulty focuses on doesn't vary a lot, so it just doesn't fit. I really don't know how you can map this difficulty on such a song by choice, to me it would feel extremely unsatisfactory if I had to map this since it is kinda impossible to keep it well-structured and not boring.

Maybe you could spice it up a bit by lowering the SV at 04:19:747 and 05:36:547 - those sliders having the same velocity as the Kiai is just not fitting at all. That just adds to the missing structure of the rest, I doesn't feel like you're playing the song, so I can't imagine many people staying for the whole map (I know that's not a valid argument but w/e)

If you get this approved I'll map a full spread and get it ranked

I rather discuss this personally with Bonsai because it'll be much easier to explain things.

I'd like to explain some things:

  1. Except of some sliders I indeed used simple pattern and slider shapes. The reason behind is that I want to keep the difficulty as minimalistic as possible. That also explains the amount and usage of hitobjects.
  2. The difficulty is SUPPOSED to be easier than Easy (or Beginner Difficulties these days).
  3. 0.6x may looks very crumbled but I already tried to work with higher distance snaps and they all seems to make it worse. And 0.80x is fantastic as SV so I won't change the SV under any circumstances.

EDIT: discussed with Bonsai via PM about some things and agreed for the biggest part.
  1. Increased density in some parts.
  2. Fixed some spacing errors.
  3. Added missing hitsounds and green lines.
  4. Changed Difficulty name to Easy. That's not worth being called as Baby Difficulty..

I want to see that.
Kyouren
This is beginner diff, not easy diff xD
pishifat
sorry im not be good enough to mod you are map
but try !! :)

seriously tho i have no idea waht i can do here

soft sliderslide is unused

01:36:547 (3) - p sure tail hitsound isn't right there
03:18:947 (2) - headwhistle like 02:02:147 (2) - is something
04:28:547 (2) - shouldnt the tail have the whistle consistencnyedc
04:38:947 (1) - and like this head shouldnt have one for conssistnecydfz
05:23:747 (1,2,3) - could lead into 3 better with rotation magic u knowwhat i mean
05:54:147 (4) - 05:41:347 (4) - moerwhistle consinsetncnyn

as a modder i dislike the amount of inconsistent rhythm ideas used, but anyone playing this map wouldn't want to play 6 minutes of the same rhythm so i'd say that's fine

your hitsounding for default normal whistles/claps hurts my brain
i dont really like how you distance snapped everything so it's like sliders move twice as fast as object-to-object stuff. like if anything lower sv with the same spacing visually would be better but "0.80x is fantastic as SV so I won't change the SV under any circumstances." can't argue with something fantastic
i also dislike all the 1/1 circle->object liek 02:11:747 (1,2) - cuz of how downbeatignoring and possibly overlapconfusinig they could be but i dont know how easy players react to anything so g

what were you expecting out of a mod anyway lol
Mao
When? I want oko to map a full spread.
hehe

Sorry for delay.
I just took a look at your map and I think it's too boring if a player have to playing this Easy diff with random rhythm, placing under ds for about 6 minutes. Why people always do an Insane or Extra map for a song more than 5min? Because it will be fun, and moreever, a map has 4-5 star rate usually can express the song well.
Maybe new players can enjoy this map, but this map can't meet the demand of experienced players. That's why rc has several rules about difficult spread, a qualified map can be played by most people, and one Easy diff is impossible to achieve that.
It's no doubt this map is safe for rank, but I don't think it's qualified.
why don't you collab with oko?

Saying "I don't want to qualify this" would also be enough, also https://osu.ppy.sh/s/386282

Then, what do you declare as "random rhythm"? It indeed had issues before the 14th december (no idea when did you checked it) but it's much MUCH more consistent now through the choruses and verses, Hitsound MAY be polished a bit more but I can take care for it whenever I have the time.
