Problem Details:

osu! has errors when it tries to update.

In my case, when I want it to go to Cutting Edge, it would not do it because of this bug.

This post might be repetitive, but I did have this problem for months now and I can't seem to find a solution in the forums. So please someone help me with this problem. Thank you in advance

I have included pictures of both osu and the Wine it runs on. I don't know much about Wine, but I heard that's what it runs on Mac





osu! version: 20150901 (latest)

Do you have an update_log.txt file?

Oh so you guys would know I open up the osu application that was in the .dmg file in the downloads. Then it would open up the osu!##########Wine one

Where is that in the osu package folder?

Did you manage to fix this problem?

No I did not

Edit 4/2017: Mac version is stuck to Stable fallback version. There's a newer version using XQuartz, which can run Cutting Edge/Stable Latest version, though I think bootcamping is better. This is what I do to play osu on my MacBook Pro.

Added this just in case people using osu! OSX come by. imo osu! was never a Mac game, though it'd be nice if it was. Many problems with Mac with osu exists (no way to remove mouse acceleration, and perhaps others I have yet to find)
