[Archived] Song volume jumping really high, then goes down.

Problem Details: For some reason right when I start a song the volume is really high then it sounds like it starts to level itself out after about 3 seconds or so. This problem has been irritating me for a while now because the loud begging catches me off guard. I have no clue what the heck could be causing it, because I have never had this problem in any other area or game. If you have any questions that could help me give you a better understand of the problem, please let me know!

To me it's always vice versa, but in an intended way
Can you perhaps make a video of it?

Are you sure this happens only in osu!?

For now here's 2 things you can check for, though given your description I doubt either is the issue.
- control panel -> sound -> communications -> see if setting this to "do nothing" helps at all
- control panel -> sound -> playback -> your device -> propreties -> enhancements -> make sure "loudness equalization" is turned off.
