Mac version of osu! is compatible on versions between 10.6 and 10.9. So, I don't think that it is gonna work on 10.11. I'm not sure though.

It worked on 10.10 fine, and so something in 10.11 seems to have resulted in an issue.

Regardless, as the Mac community updates rather quickly when updates go public (Fall), the issue should be looked into.

I get how software development works and never expected an immediate fix or for something to work on a beta OS, but I hope that the OS X user-base is considered important enough to at least warrant minimal compatibility fixes before more people may be affected.

Maybe the OS shouldn't be breaking compatibility so severely to start with. What kind of service are they doing for developers when they break their software when updates are released? I can't tell you when it will happen. You will just have to wait for the time being.

The OS X 'port' is just the windows version running in a wineskin program wrapper, it's pretty complex in how it works, i'm sure, in time, SOMETHING is going to break it. You could probably fix it by making your own wrapper using the latest version of wine: http://wineskin.urgesoftware.com/tiki-index.php

Marking as duplicate. There is already a confirmed thread about this. t/371817
