I either really suck or Im missing something.

Is there something to Catch the Beat that Im missing? No matter what I do I cant get more than 15 seconds into a song. My little person doesnt move fast enough to catch all the fruit and Im so damn confused!

Am I missing ny advice would be really appreciated! ^-^ :)

I've actually attempted to play a few songs, but as I said never finished any. Thanks for reading the entire post. ._.

Also, the shift key helped alot. Thank you!

Im confused, is there a benefit to pressing it sometimes or holding it all the time? Because I wanna go fast, and holding it makes me go fast. So.. whats the point of me having to press the button in the first place if Im just gonna hold it the entire time..?

Trust me, you don't want to just hold it. But you will realize to this sooner or later.

THANK YOU, I swear to god why does no one get this. Im trying to figure out how to PLAY ranked maps. Like thanks for repeatedly pointing out the purpose of this entire post.

when i first started ctb i was confused as hell too. things i missed were:

you need to follow the droplets all the way from fruit to fruit, they simulate sliders.

the shift key. i wasn't comfortable with that, so i changed it to 0 on the numeric part of the keyboard. i'm still not good at it much, but so far i didn't really need to use it. you can pass easy, normal and some hard without using the dash thing.

when approaching the spinner (bananas) just quickly dash back and forth to collect most of them. they just give bonus, it doesn't mind if you miss some of them.

also the easy/half time mods can help you to get used to the ctb style. you'll get into it quickly. i actually like it quite a bit more than osu! standard tbh.

i am playing ctb for like 2 months and i'm now #93 on my country's performance ranking. and i only play easy/normal and hard maps! (also i think it depends on how many people play ctb in your country lmao). i find it actually pretty easy to get S or SS on a ctb map.

just play play play and you'll get better. guaranteed.

I Played ctb For Almost 2 Months. Now My Local Rank Is 669 My Global Rank Was 29,210 And I Have 558 PP

EDIT: and its going on and on and on and on my rank and PP
